All people who suck at making picks love to say this. Teasers have done very well for me over the years.

Yea I'm not worried about losing....but I'd like to see our 1st team units get several snaps together and really find a rhythm in route to a comfortable 42-10 type win

I wonder what would be better:
1. Williams continue to struggle, wholesale substitutions on defense, etc and we barely win
2. Williams go off, 1b's play outstanding and we destroy them.
If it's 2, we may see the 1b's against lsu

Likely the fact that this is our last chance for the annual Dan Mullen non-conference WTF game. Seems we get one a year: 2010 (UAB 29-24); 2011 (LA Tech 26-20 OT); 2012 (Troy 30-24); 2013 (Bowling Green 21-20). Of course, 2013 Bowling Green won the MAC and 2011 LA Tech won its conference (I believe). On the flip side, UAB went 4-8 in 2010 and Troy was 5-7 in 2012.

Hopefully yesterday was as close as we come to that annual game. [Crosses fingers]

I'm assuming there's no way that one will be even kind of close.

The only thing that kept us from having the WTF game this past weekend is an offense that is putting up nearly 50 points/game which we have never had before. If we put up over 40 points next weekend USA won't threaten us but if we drop back to upper 20s or even low 30s it could be a white knuckler unless our defense comes to play and decides they actually want to dominate someone.

What do you call yesterday's debacle? Do you think we are going to play like shit two weeks in a row? Do you think maybe because yesterday happened we will be focused and come out punching them in the mouth? From what I understood, this team's defense is good not their offense...

I'm guessing we will put up another 49 or so points. This will be all on Mullen whatever happens.

Things are great or things are disastrous.
Here is the deal this week.
Mullen is not going to screw around this game. He did what he did the first two games because he could get away with it with no fear of losing. He gave a lot of guys playing time early in the game while the score was tight. At any point, he could have kept Prescott in and driven it down UABs throat all day long. Is it fun to watch? No. But it makes sense when your first 3 games are against weak opponents. Against USA, he will move much closer to the LSU game plan and I am expecting MSU to easily cover the spread. Our team is absolutely loaded with talent and i can't image there is a player we would choose to trade with USA head to head - on offense or defense (other than the kicker). But this game won't come down to a kick. 38 - 17 Bulldogs with the easy W.

We will score 45 plus on them.

Their defense was good against Kent St that lost to Ohio last week who lost to KY this past weekend.

I hope you're right, but our HC doesn't have a great track record for not being hard headed. I'll believe it when I see it.
