This seems like the most obvious solution. The people that sent them want to hurt UM, and these people still exist. Why seek out an act of Congress to get them from UM? This tells me there's probably nothing to them. It's probably just a bunch of second hand gossip that can't be proven, yet doesn't make them look good. So, they just keep them under wraps.
