Yeah, sadly it looks like my Madridistas will be without angel next year. That means we will bring in James Rodriguez, so that's great, but I will miss Di Maria. He had a huuuuge year for us. Maybe, just maybe, we find a way to hold onto him.
Also, looks more and more like Kroos to Real Madrid is happening

Seattle is a very cool city. My sister lives there. Last year I caught a Seahawks game and a Mariners game and this year I plan on adding the Sounders to the list if possible (might not be though since they play where the Seahawks play at Century Link or the Clink if you wanna sound like a Seattle native). The green you see on the Sounders kits and the Seahawks is the same green that is the color of the Xbox Live symbol that pops up. Reason is because Microsoft is part owner of both franchises.

You and I may not always see eye-to-eye, but you seem like a good dude. And we seem to have similar senses of humor.

why would the Seahawks playing there have anything to do with you going there to watch the Sounders since you already said that you've seen the Seahawks???
Or are you saying that you saw those other two Seattle teams on the road.. That would make more sense. lol

Haha I am saying I plan my trips up to Seattle paired up with the Seahawks and Mariners so that we can catch them both. It's like a tradition we are trying to do and I don't know if the Sounders will have a home match during the same weekend I go up there. Seahawks at home is something ridiculous to see man I can't skip them especially after they just won the Super Bowl. It's so loud in that stadium you have to wear ear-plugs or you'll have a headache for two days.

Gotcha. Seattle does seem like a really nice place to live. Would definitely like to go up there for a few days during the fall.

We can just agree to disagree. As I said, the top of La Liga is better than the top of the EPL, and that's exactly the point you just made by stating that 3/4 of the champion's league was La Liga. Only two EPL teams were in the Europa league and both got shafted by their draws. Swansea had to play Napoli (3rd in Seria A) in the round of 32, and Tottenham had to play Benfica in the round of 16 (won Primeira Liga).
Look at all the players from smaller EPL clubs (not the big 5) Lukaku, Howard, Shaw, Lallana, Lovren, Lambert, Jay Rodriguez, Benteke, Ruiz, Altidore, Cameron, De Guzman, Debuchy, Krul, Sissoko. Only two of Spain's national team played in Spain and not for Barcelona or Real Madrid (Koke and Costa both of Atletico).
Like I said, though, we can agree to disagree. Just good discussion.

This response is WAY to civil and sportsmanlike for a soccer thread. The correct response would have been to collapse into the fetal position while grabbing your shin ****

Yeah, I know what you're saying. I mentioned te European games bc it's the only time EPL, Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, Bundelsiga and more all play, and the Spanish teams have dominated them all as of late. I feel like (my opinion, obviously) if you watch two mid table teams in La Liga play you will see a lot more technical and creative ability on the field than if you watched a comparable one in EPL. Guys like Antioine Griezmann of France, Ivan Rakitic of Sevilla (now Barcelona) played in the World Cup and were HUGELY impactful in it. Can't say the same for a lot of those mid-table-team players in the EPL. Ruiz and Sissoko were maybe the only two.
And yes, great discussion. I love being able to debate this stuff as a massive soccer fan. Don't worry about me taking it personally or anything ha. Just great stuff to debate

It would definitely be interesting to see a team like Newcastle play a Getafe to see how they compare. They could make the equivalent of the CBI for World soccer (see curmudgeon, CBI is kinda MSU related).

hell. yes. Looks like soccer is here to stay, and I'm happy to have more state people to talk about it with. Glad to have you. This will be good at bringing us together for something fun and without hostility (until Burnley beats you all to a pulp)
