Just keep your head down for awhile dude. I think you gotta get to like 100 posts before being accepted.
I have found, after years at SPS and now here, that the "introductory" post is automatic cause for raised suspicion. Just register and jump right in to casual conversation and 9 times out of 10 you won't catch any flack. Once the introductory post is made, it can take a while to get rid of the cross hair on your back though.
