Other way around, I want Virginia to win because that means OM has to beat TCU and then Virginia twice. Tall task. Easier although not easy to beat UVA once and TCU twice.

Look at it this way. That was easily the weakest team on their side of the bracket and they almost lost. First win for them in Omaha in 45 years. Yay!!

Let me get this straight, if Ole Miss wins Thursday vs TCU or Virginia, they have to beat the other team twice to advance? I thought once they get past Thursday, it's winner take all, regardless of record. I thought Oregon State played us last year with 1 loss and we were undefeated. I thought if they had beaten us, they advanced. Maybe I'm crazy.

Ok. Well, maybe that was SEC format I'm thinking of.

I sure a hell didn't congratulate Laxer and he's from my home town.

the CWS format is way more logical than the SEC Tournament format.

I'm sure Ellis is a fine man, but that was a chicken shit move. I wonder if Ole Miss had a player from Tupelo in hoops and he drained a 3 pointer to beat Rick Ray again if Ellis would go on the court to shake his hand and tweet him congratulations.

Correct. And I will say it again- Texas Tech pitched a pitcher with an ERA of 3 something. And he shut them down. They're also not a great hitting team either.

Right. And the SEC baseball tournament used to be the same format until we added 2 more teams and then we made semifinal Saturday single elimination just to help teams save arms for the regionals . But the SEC Touney Final has always been 1 game 1 winner. I think it was 2001 that we lost 1 but beat an undefeated LSU team in the finals to win the SEC Tournament crown. May have been 2000. Not sure. I loved that team.

Apparently, the dead indians can't just take away all our good fortune, they have to transfer it. Must be a law-of-nature or something. I've always felt those bastards send our portion of good luck to Ole Miss.

    No problem.

    GTHOM.

Hitter is way out in front and falling out of the box but somehow gets a wipe out slider into the outfield. I think the NCAA may have missed one of the Webel's rolled bats during inspection.

I would rather have a hot poker stuck into my eyeball than to see Ole Miss win in anything. Now I know where my son gets his habit of throwing things from.

Prior to #Batgate OM averaged 10.7 hits and 6.1 runs a game to 3 hits and 1.5 runs per game since. Both of these are roughly 25% of their season averages with the original sticks. You tell me if they were doctored?

    This^

I feel better about them not making it to the championship if they have to get by Virginia twice

Personally, I want TCU to win the whole thing. I don't like Virginia because their fans suck. I don't like Vandy because for some reason in baseball their fans suck. I want it to be a TCU vs Vandy final with TCU sweeping Vandy in the championship series. Ole Miss isn't beating either of these teams in the winner's bracket. Of course, the team that will win the whole thing will be the one smart enough to NOT throw their ace if they don't have to. If we had learned that hey maybe it would be a good idea to sit Graveman on that Friday game so he could pitch the first game of the championship series we could have won the whole thing last year.
