Bianco corn holed that whole presser. Not only is the moment too big for his team he is woefully equipped for something this big. He can't handle this scene.

Ole Miss hasn't won a game in Omaha since 1969.
They went 0-2 in 1972
1-2 in 1969
0-2 in 1964
2-2 in 1956
So this makes Ole Miss 3-9 in Omaha with no HINT of success since their first appearance in 1956!

We had as many wins in Omaha last season as the Bears have in their entire history

Well damn man, the entire team went 1-30something. And it wasn't like balls were finding gloves- UM barreled up almost nothing all night.

1-26. They hit 1 ball hard and it was the pissrod line out by Bortles

That was the only ball that any of their players squared up and it was a routine fly. This is the type of hitting that I expected to see from the bears throughout the season. They should be making flight accommodations to come home Tuesday night. Epic failure

On a 3-2 count, we should add. I probably woulda walked him outright, but I understand trying to get him at 2-2. But once you go full, just IBB him and make someone else beat you. Damn.

So, the BearSharks get ONE hit and look like total shit with the new bats? I'm shocked. Shocked, I say.**

That situation is so big there shouldn't have been a strike thrown. No reason to even screw with Papi in that spot. You can't leave that to players there. Should have been 4 pitchouts then go to the pen.

Which is why I said I'd probably have walked him outright. Make literally anyone else on UVA beat me, just not him.

Bianco should appeal the game under the pretense that illegal bats are good for the game

Brief history lesson- Maine was one of the top programs, and was probably the premier program in New England in the 1980's. Bill Swift used to pitch for them before going on to a nice career in MLB. Their coach was a guy named John Winkin and he is a HOF caliber coach. We played them in a regional in 1991 I think and beat them.

What was Bianco's reasoning for pitching to Papi?
