My God, sometimes our fans can be dramatic children.

1. This is a ****ing game. I repeat- THIS IS JUST A GAME. It is not life and death. It should have zero impact on your self-esteem/self-worth. Goat is probably the worst about this. Who care if they do well? It should have no impact on you or your life.

2. IF they make it to Omaha this year, it will be their first time in 40+ years. So suddenly them having some legitimate postseason success one year reverses the dominance we've had over the past four decades? Come on. Especially considering we just did the exact same thing LAST YEAR and were very close to being in position to do it again this year. We've been to the CWS eight times since they last went- does that disappear if they win tonight? Hell, hopefully some good may come of this and it motivates our guys this offseason- just like it motivated them last offseason.

3. This isn't football. Both teams can be successful at the same time.

4. Contrary to what some here believe, UM has a good baseball program. They are bound to end up in the CWS at some point, and their team this year appears to have the intangibles and talent to get there. They are a good team and a solid program, and teams/programs like that tend to get to Omaha every once in a while- get over it.

Wow, that is insane- especially considering that they are a pitch-to-contact pitching staff that doesn't K a lot of people. UM has definitely been the beneficiary of some good fortune this season with men on base.
