You have to trust your pitching coach to an extent- but if the pitching coach makes a call like this and it doesn't work, then he has to answer to Cohen.

Luckily Bracewell bails Brown out. Hopefully, Bracewell's curve is working and can shut Bama down. We are getting no help from anyone in the SEC such as Auburn or Vandy. Going to have to win this for a bye.

preston hasn't looked good since returning from injury. probably need to sit him for the year. laster has been lights out. we can still get 3 out of lindgren today. we have plenty of pitching left.

He made the call and hoped the Auburn game was an anomaly. Butch was wrong and it wasn't. Only down 1-0.

Correct. And it depends on the manager. If the manager has a background in pitching like Bud Black, then he handles more of the pitching. If the manager has a hitting background then the pitching coach usually has a lot more input.

I think after his performances they need to shut him down have the surgery and get ready for next year. We will need him more next year then right now.
