    Rea strands runners on 1st and 3rd. Did anyone ever get an explanation for Pirtle being out? He struck out, but the ball got away and went to the fence and Pirtle made it to first. How was he putout?

    According to our announcers, Pirtle didn't run immediately after striking out which makes him out.

    This. A true freshman, especially a catcher has to be careful of hitting the wall. Collins is our best bat and it would suck for him to hit the wall and go into a huge slump. I like the idea of resting him at times.
