Yeah, I thought the same thing but don't they run the bats thru a compression tester prior to the game?

Yeah I was shocked that the ump didn't look at that second broken bat more

UGA hitting reminds me Arkansas a few years ago and UT under Vitello. Everything they hit is scalded and a routine pop up tends to go 350. I remember when Arkansas came to town one year and looked the exact same.

I still remember 2021. Arkansas hit, what I thought, was a pop fly. SOB went 395.

Back to the topic at hand, I don?t know whether Coggin is the answer or not. I have heard a few people say that Ammo actually runs a lot with their hitting. I would hire Ammo in a heartbeat. He?s a great hitting coach and he finds these portal kids that knock the shit out of the ball.

I?ve been on record that I don?t like McMullen, but I haven?t since day 1. And I can also admit that a lot of my dislike of him stems from the fact that I liked Jake. Jake was a good hitting coach who recognized when kids were struggling and was able to work them through that more times than not. Jake also would give his left arm for our guys. McMullen would pull kids aside in the middle of ABs early in the season. Now he just sits at 3B like a 17 walrus. The book is out on how to beat us and it doesn?t appear he has made any changes to our approach at the plate.

Was it Van Horn that called out TN (knowing Vitello did it while at Arkansas) or something about the bats

Coggin would only come to State as the HC- thats his next move. And that aint happening

Ammo needs to get a head job at a G5 and then be the next guy for us if all goes well after BOC flames out in 5 years

Jake was too hands off. And I like Jake. He treated our guys like they were pros and that's fine if we were the Tupelo Fighting Elvis Impersonators. But we're a college team and despite NIL these are players that are still considered amateurs in the baseball world and therefore they are still learning.

The slump that Hunter Hines and Dakota had at the end of 2023 should have never happened. Ace Reese is hot the past two weeks compared to that.

There is only a six point difference in McMullen and Coggin right now as far as team batting average. And yes their slugging and OBP are higher but there might be something up with that since it's not translating over to conference games for whatever reason.

I know this is bait but I would say the odds of BOC being here 10 years are much higher than 5. By that time Coggin will probably have head coaching experience somewhere and then we can decide what to do at that point.

Couldnt be better. Granddad now to a beautiful healthy baby girl. Oldest son is about to be a Sr and I no longer am used like a taxi service. Youngest son starts hitting the camp circuit this June as his recruiting process begins. Spring practice starts in a couple weeks. About the only bad thing going is my baseball team is 0-6 the last 2 weekends and plummeting down the Top 25

Yea I'm happy about my life too and have things going pretty well - but am also pissed about the baseball team. I'm not on here making "look-at-me" skip bayless hot takes fishing for attention. Why are you?

Cogg will be a hell of a HC one day and it probably won't be here. Hope I live to see the folks say I told us so.

That's not a why. That's just a self-description of you and you wear it as a badge of honor. I'm one too - and in my heyday I was more notorious on bigger platforms (Madden Ultimate Team EA Forums circa 2010 is something you'll never be as good at).

When I do it, typically it was an escape from shitty reality for me. Now if I do any ragebait it's more to bait someone in particular (like the concern trolling I'm doing to you right now) or I just do more engagement bait to have folks laugh.

You're stoking folks to get mad. Some you've met, some you've not. Most all who want the same thing as you - State to be better. Why troll and rage bait here and piss off folks you like? Why not go piss of those you don't?
