Meridian is within the highest risk area that I can see. I would keep close eye on it.

In Madison during the game? It all depends on how fast this system moves through.

It appears most (or at least the ones I know of) of the storm chasers are lining up South of I20

Ref, I've seen one model that has a pretty bad front coming right toward the GTA. Any truth to that?

Which model? Also, right now I wouldn't look at models. This is now Mesoanalysis and now-casting time. Models get thrown to the side within 3 hours.

They just canceled our game (at 5:45) so I'm assuming all are canceled.

It was a link one of my friends found on twitter, but I think they were talking about the storm around Kosciusko right now.

Starkville looks like we will get some rain and maybe some hail with this. Main threats will be hail and straight line winds right now. If rotation starts, then we can start worrying about dropping one.

Predominant winds today are west-southwest, and I think that is preventing any rotation from developing. Yesterday, winds were strong from the south-southeast, feeding directly into inflow of the storms. Not that I'm complaining.

Reed seems to be real excited about a storm right now. He's somewhere between Laurel and Jackson and he's headed southwest. Keeps saying it's exploding.

I've been watching these supercells trying to develop along the dry line moving in from the West all day. It seems to me they are having trouble developing south of I-20. North of I-20 they seem to be better organized. Not saying the forecast was a bust, it's just strange that the SPC outlined a more southern event and they seem to be stronger towards the north.

Maybe these cellular storms in the south just have not hit the most unstable air mass quite yet? They are just now moving over the Natchez Trace and that was the apparent line of instability to the SE. It seems like they are just now looking ominous over I-55
