No doubt the team USA guys are good and will be major factors to season success. Also, the same size is tiny. I don't list Pitzer below because 1/2 his innings were versus Alcorn. I think Foster would shutout Alcorn and Pitzer would have been more challenged by Hofstra and Delaware.

Batting Average Against ... versus the same Mid Major opponents. Add 40 to 60 points to simulate SEC.

    Jackie G 0.071 (no walks)
    Ben Davis 0.083
    Duke Stone 0.125
    Sweeney 0.167
    -------------200 Zone -----------
    Tomas Valincius 0.220
    -------------250 Zone -----------
    McPherson 0.250 (15 k/1 BB)
    Webb 0.270 (no walks)
    -------------300 Zone -----------
    Charlie F 0.304

Davis fades after 2 innings. He is a relief pitcher all the way. We tried him starting last year and it didn't go very well.

He wasn't following through all the way and it was causing the ball to stay up. He has to handle adversity a little bit better. Foster has talent but I'm not sure what his best role is. Stone definitely should be the Sunday starter. The question then becomes who the midweek starter is- I'm thinking that we're going to with Kirk or maybe Miller on Tuesday.

Foster needs to get in the lab with Parker and get to work figuring some things out.

BOC said in his press conference they put a little extra work in pregame because of it and it paid off for us today.

Damn- I'm starting to love this coaching staff.

For those talking about errors- right now MSU is number one in the SEC in defense. We're also 7th in hitting and 6th in pitching right now as well in case y'all are wondering.

Gives me good visions. Keep working him. His only bad appearances have been starts. From the pen, has been very good. Even in the SEC and Regional

He's not the same pitcher he was last March.

I pitched for 25 years- I know what he was doing. My issue was that he made no adjustments and kept doing the same thing over and over.

He didn't just miss up, he's off time and off spot right now, and the mound and the lab and the mound are miles apart. For some reason he's all sped up, his issues are in the worst spot for a pitcher, the 6 inches between his ears. He's got stuff, just has to do it and trust it.

Our official scorer cheats. Thats why. He's skimmed at least 5 errors off the books. Giving Woodson a double on a dropped flyball was a bad look as well

He's talented and will figure it out eventually but he is not who I would run out there vs the #1 team in the country on Sunday if I had a choice. And we have a choice
