You can only file for a med hardship(meaning he's already rs, you only get one wo the hardship, period) after ones eligibility has expired. Which was after 2025. You're right. Ferris St can't apply for that for him. The issue that OM is contesting, and the entire basis of their case, is that Ferris St didn't properly document the injury that they are claiming he had. I misspoke on that point.

Generally speaking if a player has a legit claim to an injury and it is documented properly they grant a medical redshirt.

So if they thought that Chambliss legitimately should get one they would have approved it long ago.

It is two entirely separate issues. That is what a lot of State fans are not seeing. The Bediako case and the Chambliss case are only similar in that the NCAA denied them and they went to a state court.
