LSU is 1 by a mile.
Mississippi is 2.
We are 35.

On3 is a ranking of the improvement in your current roster from last years roster is my understanding.

Yep. And according to what I read, it also just rates the improvement in rosters. If your roster graded out as most improved from the previous year, you are number 1.

Yea they doing something weird bout re-rating every player on rosters. That's a huge endeavor that it's hard to imagine bias won't taint.

We're going to roll with Sneh. He's not Seaton but I think he will do OK.

Portal rankings are probably an even more unexact science than high school rankings.
Nick Saban pretty much nailed it when he was talking about recruiting services.

A team that brings in C players to replace F players would be ranked way ahead of a team that brings in A players to replace B players.
The ranking is not necessarily indicative of your current talent level.

But it does show we have improved our team with more talent. We were never going to be upper level now that all schools spend money

I know our fans don't want to hear it but it appears the plan is to build for a big 2027. That makes sense because KT will be a third year player and if we can keep a lot of these guys for multiple years it could help us save money to be even more aggressive in the portal.
If KT has a big year in 2026 it could definitely help attract players like Seaton in the future.
And this isn't Croom's seven year plan of going 3-8 and then go for a Liberty Bowl. The expectation is to win games now and at least be competitive. What we are doing now is how you build a team like Indiana did.

If KT has a big year someone will offer money he can’t refuse. Yep….poor old MSU thinking but reality.

If KT has a big year and it means a good year for State, like 6-6 or 7-5, then State will offer him very good money to stay. If he loves State like says he does, he will play in Starkville for $2 mil. even if others offer more. I just believe this young man loves the Dogs!

If he has a good year 2 mil won't sniff keeping him. But we will do all we can to keep him. Feel confident in that.

No idea as I don’t keep up with it like you guys. But common sense tells me that if someone offers him $1 mil or more than we do he’s gone. Schools are willing to pay big for difference makers at qb. I hope KT has a big year next year then we will see if we can keep him.

Can confirm this and wants to stay with his brother. They’re goal since they were little was to “bring a national championship to State” and they understood the weight of that statement
