TTech went 35MM in NIL for 2025- Texas says hold my beer
Longhorns are looking at going 40MM and just gave Auburn's WR 2.5-3MM apparently. They are All-In for 2026
That trip to Austin gonna suck

Does it really matter Coach? For what it?s worth, the state of Texas is an underachieving group of rich universities that are always in the discussion but never winning anything when it counts.

The amount of dislike i have for those that were a part of putting us this far behind this gigantic 8 ball is unhealthy. We are living shatty boosters being in charge at the wrong time. It was going to be a struggle for us but short sightedness arrogance, entitlement and ignorance are a death sentence.

What sucks is we beat the crap out of them and lost a 17 pt lead with 900 to play at home.
Not seen their schedule but my guess is at year end, they will have overpaid - probably like TexTech this year.
-
Well, TT spent 35MM to get relevent and made the playoffs. Texas will likely do the same with their roster.
Will they win it all? Who knows but they are making moves.

Saw where Ohio st just moved to 45 million

17 man, we?re just shooting for a winning season! Baby steps first?the schools being mentioned (except TT) are always in the mix financially. Apples to oranges, we?re not even in the stratosphere of the potential NIL spend!

Just think in 5 years the top blue bloods will be pushing 100 mil.

I hate this system we currently have.

Would be curious to know how much of that is alumni donations and how much is from someone like Dr. Pepper paying Arch NIL money to be in a commercial

Apparently you can look through a pair of Warby Parker's and see it all very clearly. *****

It's not sustainable. It's gonna pop. Somehow someway.

If 10% of say Indiana's alumni base (over 800k) give $1,500 a year, and along with a few big donors, they can easily float 120 million a year.
Any large alumni base can do this for many years.

When I get to 1 Billion dollars, the NIL will get 40 million a year from me.
-
Since the amounts keep going up significantly each year, it will definitely be interesting to see how long this is sustainable before it blows up.

When I get 1 Bil I'll buy the New York Jets and get it straightened out.

That is super unrealistic. You think 80,000 are going to give that much?
