I think players should get paid, but giving them all the leverage is not sustainable. The product is worse now bc team's are basically rebuilt every season. Schools want more and more money while attendance is already dropping. For the good of the game, I wish all player salaries were required to be paid by the school with a hard cap established by the conference. I wish players were given one free transfer and then they have to sit a year without pay for 2nd transfer. I think this would make a better product.
The highest paid coach in the NFL is Andy Reid. There are 120 players that make more than him. It won't be sustainable when highest paid person becomes the men actually performing the tasks on the field. Coaches are not the most important ingredient in a football team.
What is out of line is the amount we pay coaches, not the players.
