Wish I knew what would happen here. It's Miami -3 right now, and I would hammer the hell out of that if I knew OM was gonna lose their off staff

I tried to tell people that last night. Lane is not going to let the offensive staff stay. Every second they are working on Miami is a second they are not working on the portal.

It's very possible it will be Judge and a bunch of GAs and assts coaching in a national semifinal. Mark Schlabach reported last night that some believe Weis will stay but they don't know about any of the others. I do know that Kevin Smith will probably stay til the end as well. However, I could also see all the OM players trashing Kiffin in press conferences back firing. Lane could go typical Lane on them and pull Weis and them back to Baton Rouge and tell them they don't have a job if they coach in the semis.

Meh, I'm guessing that Golding would just hire them.........

To do what? Do you really think John David Baker wants to look to his left in the booth and see Charlie Weis, the former OC, staring at him every time he calls a play.

Do you think Frank Wilson is going to want the former RB coach in the same room as him?

Also, those dudes don't want to get off the Kiffin train. Those are Kiffin guys, not Golding guys. Lane has gotten both of those guys PAID at multiple stops, especially Weis.

I certainly hope so. Anything to give Miami an edge over OM. The amount of slobber I?ve had to see flying out of the mouths from OM faithful today would make anyone sick

I honestly expected it to be worse. I think some of them are starting to realize that this run is probably the pinnacle for them. So they better enjoy it. At least the realist OM fans are that way. I've seen a couple this morning that think Pete Golding is a better HC than Lane.

On Miami, I think they have a better roster than OM. Their D is downright scary. OM has no one that can come close to blocking Ruben Bain. I wanted us to hire Corey Heatherman(the Miami DC) twice. When he was at Rutgers in 23 and last offseason. He's going to draw up all kinds of exotic looks to throw at Chambliss.

If I'm a betting man, Weis will stick around to the end, the other assistants are going to be told to be in Baton Rouge. Need OM as short handed as possible if Miami is going to have a chance.

I could also see Weis being pulled from the National Championship game as I don't think Kiffin could handle a team he built winning a NC without him.

That's why I think Kiffin pulls Weis. I think he's let OM have their fun. Now it's time to get to work in Baton Rouge. Weis is the key. He's made himself a VERY ATTRACTIVE candidate for a HC position next cycle.

LSU paying LK another $500k for his OM incentive package for winning the first 2 rounds. He?s allowing the assistants to continue to coach OM throughout the playoffs.

Kiffin cares way too much about how he is viewed to pull Weis. Could he pull some of the position coaches? Sure maybe, but I doubt it. From what I understand, one of the reasons he let the coaches stay was to actively recruit Lacy, Princewell and potentially Chambliss. I don't see that stopping now.

    From your article...

With the transfer portal opening Friday, sources told ESPN that no LSU assistants other than Weis traveled back to Oxford with the Rebels following the Sugar Bowl. The others are expected to be in Baton Rouge to assist LSU with portal recruiting. It remains unclear which coaches will be permitted to continue coaching Ole Miss during their run.

?There are going to be some fireworks,? an Ole Miss source told ESPN. ?We always knew this might be a possibility.?

Chase Parham is hinting that no future LSU staffers will be with OM besides Weis moving forward.
