Strangely, he also said he was going to put him back in the 2nd half, but didn't know he had his shoe off and couldn't return, odd communication of staff and player to Jans?

It was a good win last night. It's not like LB is a Swac team. No doubt we have some issues but screaming are yelling at players isn't one. Bobby Knight says hold my beer. I much rather have a Coach who has no problem getting on his players, Nick Saban told Knight to pass him a beet also*

No one is unhappy we won, but that performance doesn't bode well for the rest of the season. We opened a 16.5 favorite. I was hoping we would really build on the nice comeback Saturday, but I just don't think this team has another gear.

I mean, I'm Jans biggest fan here, but this is a travesty. We are 134th in NET, which is dead last in the sec; SC is 15th at 108. Criticism is more than fair. Now calls to fire Jans are premature, but he should for the first time start feeling a little heat

As far as defense, the 3 point play is really tough for any team to defend especially when a team has outside shooters. Look we have two really good outside shooters, Hubbard and Epps, if both are hot we have a chance.

We havent shown improvement in finish any year under Jans. Our best player he got - we only got cause OM fired their coach.

His style of hustle defense being the most important thing is 20 years behind modern basketball.

Our "success in making the tournament" coincides with the rise in paying players having heightened the floor for all SEC teams. Correlation is not causation here - Jans is not the driver of our success, he's passenger and Ben Frank is the driver.

This year, he's yanked the steering wheel from Ben and crashed us into a ravine.

134th in NET with a top 50 payroll is unacceptable. Losing to San Francisco is unacceptable. Developing Shawn Jones absolutely 0 in four years is unacceptable. Playing Shawn Jones 30+ minutes is unacceptable.

Evaluating against our history - I get why people believe this is blasphemy. But evaluate against reality. Dude doesn't develop players and sucks at roster management. Why the **** are we playing close games with Long Island, San Francisco, New Mexico, New Orleans and Southeastern. Even managing to lose to some of them.

The $ gap between us and those programs is massive. If we give coaches a pass because Kentucky way outspends us on basketball then we gotta ream them for finding ways to lose a bigger gulf in dollars.

We could get the UNO head coach for an eighth of Jan's salary and put the other $3.5 million towards a roster salary. That dude makes like $200k a year right now. With NIL - the coaching salary bubble needs to burst. Jans ain't producing enough WAR to justify $4.2 million a year.

Epps had 20 and Hubbard has 34, and we won by 4. We were the 3rd P4 team they've faced. They lost by
22 to ND, 40 to Illinois, and 4 to us. I'm sorry, but this win is nothing to celebrate.

Obviously you don't know much about Msu basketball history. We have been to 13 Ncaa tournaments total. Guess how many successful coaches we have had over our history? Jans is old school, with the NIL its a struggle for football and. Asketball for Msu. Coaches are gonna be hard to get.

Yep I say it all the time when the only solution to winning is just need more money. Money by itself won't buy a win, it won't even guarantee good players. But if you do buy that then you got to coach them. If you don't lower skilled, talented teams will beat you. Happens all the time.

This is who he has always been, I will never understand the fascination Jans has with him. He has only ever been useful for a few minutes at a time to play defense and go get a couple rebounds.

Genuinely, I knew this would be a long year when I saw he was in the starting lineup for the exhibition game. He has no business being on the floor for any serious P4 team.

Jans crapped the bed in the portal. It is ok to admit it. He has earned another year to fix it.

We've been in the tourney 14 times in our history, and 3 of those are under Jans (.214). It's not hard to see that Jans has done a great job here.
