He sucked at Colorado and he has sucked here. Whats with the love for him? Not just you, but people seem to think he's something special.

Colorado?s sack issues had more to do with Sanders and his lack of sack avoidance and less to do with their OL. Heck, they arguably had the best LT in college. Sanders holds the ball too long though. He?s even doing it in the NFL now.

I can write a check with a 1 and 2 zeros behind it! What you got?

According to the OP, the only candidates the athletic department considered were Lebby and Mullen. I think that out of those 2, a very clear supermajority of the fanbase would have preferred the opposite of what the AD apparently decided. If they had considered Brian Newberry or Brent Vigen instead of Mullen, I would infer the results of Vigen vs. Lebby or Newberry vs. Lebby poll.
Because there are hundreds of other coaches that are options. And when Lebby leaves odds are we will hire one of those.
You're basically creating a straw man that wouldn't present how the fanbase truly feels because you are eliminating all options.
Between Dan, Lebby, and Golesh for example I think a lot of fans would pick Golesh. Or Sumrall.

And yet this guy wants Dan back.

Odds are he will handle things like Sumrall. Even Kiffin was able to get his team focused on the Egg Bowl. But yeah let's just give Dan a pass because we allowed him to piss everything away because of three weeks in 2014.

Multiple posters on this board (people that are generally considered to be "in the know" around here) have said that the only other name under consideration is Mullen. So it's completely fair to consider which of the only 2 plausible options that fans would prefer.
We'd presumably all rather have Nick Saban than Mullen or Lebby, but unless he actually starts talking to our administration, there's no point in including him in a hypothetical poll.

Another year of less than mediocre coming up! Oh Joy. I do t care if Dan comes back or not. But he is a hell of a lot better while looking for better opportunities the. The guy we got now! Of course that might not be saying much either!

This year, Shapen had 111 carries for an average of 0.3 yards. Mullen never put a QB in a situation like that.

Geeez. Seems like you can fall further than that.

Coaches don't leave the next coach anything but problems now. Welcome to the Portal era

Those same people have also said that Lebby isn't going anywhere. You have also had multiple other people in the know on here say that Dan isn't an option either. It sounds like it's a group of boosters wasting their time kicking the tires like the people that went after Jamey Chadwell a couple of years ago.
And I can almost guarantee you that if and when we have to find a new coach we are going to do a national search again. And if we don't we should fire Selmon. Or whoever the AD is. Because this would be the umpteenth time our booster ****ed up MSU football.

That has to be a record

So? Shapen is gone. Move on.

That 111 includes sacks and scrambles. He was sacked 36 times. So, that means he had 75 total runs that were either scrambles or designed runs. If you eliminate scrambles, my best guess is that Lebby only called around 35-45 total designed runs for Blake.

That's the thing tho. I wish I could find the leaked video I watched on Twitter of a zoom call between some Florida boosters. The AD and President have no say so in those hires. The big money guys hire who they want to hire or they simply threaten to stop donating 15 mill+ every year.
As an President or AD, what do you do? You can't lose that kind of money every year. Especially in todays game. Big money boosters have them by the balls. If you don't hire their guy and they cut out the money, you're good as fired.
Back to the leaked video.. Florida's main booster Gary Condron wanted Sumrall over Kiffin. And threatened to stop donating if they didn't hire Sumrall. 15 mill and more a year.

Thank God. He stunk most of the year. He took some criticism and chirped back at the fans with “keep the same f energy”. He gets bench and throws a hissy fit and doesn’t participate in senior day.

Kentucky is firing Stoops . Possibly DC candidate

Why hire Dan with his baggage when we could hire Urban with his baggage?
Although I think Lebby deserves more time. No coach should be fired in 2 years unless they've done something unethical. If there's reason enough to hire them, there's reason enough to give them more than 2 seasons.

I get being upset. But when you have made life changing money at a University that gave you a second chance to pursue your dream, the very least you could do is participate in Senior Day. I wasn't a Shapen hater although I've called for him to be benched since the Florida game. I'll admit that. But I've lost all respect for the kid now. Just my point of view.
