10 SEC wins should still get you in. We have another Q1 opportunity tonight. We get SMU in a week, Memphis next month, and then SEC play starts.

Now, we have to win those games, but like C34 said we have a month to figure it out. That starts tonight. We really could use a win.

Yeah, we are getting to the point of backs against the wall. I don't have a lot of faith in a team getting killed by just good not great teams before we get to the SEC. We were blown out by 2 teams that would be lower half of the SEC.

I haven't seen anyone that is saying to fire Jans. He has done enough to get the season and next year would be when he was on the hot seat. His seat isn't even room temperature right now.

Saying that, this team looks like it will be about as competitive in the SEC as last year's football team. Toledo was a good football program that walked all over us. Iowa St and K St are better than that but would still be bottom half of the SEC right now. That doesn't bode well for us currently. We need to do a 180 right now. We can't really afford to make up wins in the SEC. The SEC is a top 2-3 basketball conference now if not possibly #1.

Iowa st wouldn't be bottom half of the sec. Here's their last 3 year kenpom rankings...

2025: 8th
2024: 11th
2023: 8th

Iowa st is one of the best programs in the country. Now KSU is a different story. Unless haggerty (1st string AA) has really elevated them, they aren't on that level.

You know what's coming for baseball, right? This is perhaps the worst sports year of my life... Braves were awful, saints have been awful, football is still awful, grizzlies are awful, and now Jans has fell off. I wish I was addicted to Netflix or something instead of crap sport teams

Iowa St is ranked 14th in the country and 12 in the NET. They would not be lower half of the SEC.

Kansas St is a good team and I do think they'll make the tourney. They are not Iowa St though

Looking at sec OOC games it seems the sec may be down this year. Of course, we'd be down when the rest are too

None of that matters, what does matter is we suck! We are going to continue to suck this year, bc our offense blows and this group that he brought in cannot play defense. Watching us play is boring, undisciplined basketball. Fire away, but Jans will be here for 2 more years, and in that time period we lose Hubb and he will run several off and replace them with retreads that aren?t much better.
