Another thought is do you want lane's around your team for a month to talk them into leaving with him?
Lane started living like Joey Freshwater after he accepted the FAU job. That's another reason he'll never get the Bama job.

Because the point is nonsense anyway. Are we so naive as to not think he can do what he wants with that situation from wherever he is? He could be on the moon and still have the exact same amount of influence as if he was in the room. It’s not like they haven’t met.

Sure, but I don’t want to live in the house with my ex after the divorce is finalized. I don’t think it has anything to do with recruiting the players on their team. Just general animosity. Doesn’t help that it’s a major rival attempting to hire their coach.
I agree with SVS - If I’m LSU I want Lane recruiting and rebuilding the roster. If I’m OM I want the new guy recruiting and rebuilding the roster. These admins are fighting like catty women. Someone has to win or everyone is going to lose. I honestly think if he stays at OM it’s not quite a victory for them. Won’t ever be the same at this point.
Maybe I’m being over dramatic. After all, Coaching carousel is soap operas for men

OM should move on if lane does. Lane will be split between two schools when OM needs his full attention. I mean we've already saw this: Saban had to run him off at the last minute for not devoting the time needed for game prep.

I understand where you’re coming from, but truthfully I don’t think this carries on much longer. I really think this could possibly end any day now. This is all mostly posturing anyway.

Locked On LSU says Kiffin and Keith Carter are meeting Friday and Lane will give him his decision.

They will meet but who knows what Lane reveals. He may continue the stone walling to get LSU to raise their offer which will then cause the plantation to raise their offer.........

The longer it goes on the more I think he's staying.

This seems like the real ultimatum.

He is leaning towards LSU. Pretty big LSU booster out of Dallas confirmed it to me tonight. The offer is 15 over 6

You know I was thinking about this situation today and Kiffin turned down Auburn before because of his daughter. Well, that's the same daughter that's dating that LSU linebacker if I'm not mistaken. I know it's probably antecdotal but still.

Also, LSU would allow Kiffin to reunite with his good friend Coach O. Which would be very popular in Louisiana.
And I would think that LSU would be much easier to recruit to in that you aren't competing with Florida State and Miami for recruits among others.

Well, Todd.
Landry Kiffin spotted at a women?s LSU booster meeting yesterday. And per several people Ed Orgeron will be part of Kiffin?s staff.
Also per Chris Low if Kiffin leaves it could greatly affect OM?s future seeding in the playoffs. Yikes!

Already rumblings of EddyO joining Kiffin's staff in LSU. They're primed to be a recruiting juggernaut.

Eddie O to be the minister of culture, and Lane's wingman.
