Look at Lagway last year at UF and all of the wasted reps with Mertz. then, look at beamer starting Sellers game 1 and they won 9 last year inlcuding clemson which was bold and smart by Beamer. what beamer did was incredibly rare and it saved his job. Kamario needs all of the reps of the first four games to be ready to win the 3 of the last 6. this is the only take worth having on this upcoming season. I doubt I watch any games unless Kamario plays and I know most MSU fans feel the same. Kamario would be hell in Lebby's offense, probably better than the guy who signed with auburn from oklahoma.
Bump.
bringing the most important take of this season back to the top. it's good to read through the comments now that we're heading into last game, some of which were spot on, some with the same tired arguemtn of redshirting, too young, bad OL, etc.
Look at the 11 game log, kamario basically didn't play the first six games (wasted) of the season and had 3 total pass attempts the first six games and those were vs Alcorn where was 2/3. then, 1/1 vs TX, 2/5 vs Ark, 6/10 vs UGA, and 4/5 vs Miz.
If you look at total defense stats on secsports, OM is #6 giving up 27 / game. Miz is #1, UGA #4, TX #5. So, Kamario has now played and been successful against better defenses. the UGA game was basically a walk through of the upcomign EB with an 11a start vs a top D and we all see how well KT did vs UGA when given all the snaps in the 2H.
on the flip side on secsports.com , OM is #3 in scoring offense at 37 pts / game with Tenn #1 at 43 / game. MSU is #9 at 31.5 pts / game. Obvsiuoly, those stats likely skewed for everyone with nonconf blowout scores.
Saying all of that, Kamario needs to get every single snap in the EB. every single snap. We've all seen his talent & leadership shine first hand especially this last month. kamario is legit and could bring the golden egg home. Had Kamario received the majority of reps the first six games we're likely at 8 wins right now.
nonetheless, we'll see what Lebby "decides", but the best decision should have already been made.
