Like that's great if they want to do that. Hell, Neal McCready has already tried to do it. But all that tells me is that you're worried you can't beat that coach. I know we can beat Kiffin. We damn near did it last year with the worst statistical defense in the history of the program and a QB who pegged receivers ankles on slant routes. Lebby knows Kiffin and all his tendencies. It's why any coach that faces Lane that has worked with him can give him trouble. Lane adapts his scheme to the talent, but the basic tenets of it remain the same.
If Lebby beats Kiffin this EB expect the toxic rivalry to return en masse.

Because we want their players distracted and Lane having to answer them instead of focusing otherwise.
Every advantage matters including team focus.
Not that we have to retweet it. But the media will do the job and run with speculation.
you disagree with this somehow???

Although I want him to stay, he will not. I would love for him to stay as I know the tide will turn as it always does and we will own his a$$. He will leave because of the money, it's Florida and he will forever be able to say OM was better than us while he was there.

I personally believe the best deal in terms of money, autonomy, program and NIL structure, etc is at Ole Miss. Now could he go to Florida and get comparable money? Yes. But he will not have the autonomy and the NIL and program structure that he has at OM. They give LANE WHATEVER he wants. They give him complete autonomy to do whatever he wants and give him whatever he needs. Hell, his dog is the unofficial mascot.
I heard folks talking that UPig has been promised $40 mil in NIL for the next coach. I don't hang around with folks with that kind of funding so I can't ask them directly, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I want to beat them at full strength with their full concentration. I don't want their fans to have an out when we beat them. So no, I don't want their players distracted. I want them locked in. Because when we kick their ass, I don't want to hear, "Oh Lane didn't have their attention because of Florida or the Giants." "Oh we weren't ready to go because of the rumors."
That crap is the same excuse some of our fans used to use with Mullen. I hated it then and I hate it now.

That's pretty close. There's a lot of rumors that John Tyson is involved in football now.

Yep and I said that earlier in this thread. It's fine until we beat them. Then it's toxic again.

Our defense is currently ranked #15 in the conference. Coach34 listed the rankings in all the major defensive categories in another thread. I don't see how we can have the warm and fuzzies moving up from dead last sixteenth to fifteenth. We are about dead last in stopping the run, which is Missouri's strength. It could be another long day/night like when our group sat through the entire Georgia "game."

To each their own, but I want them demoralized in all categories. So that after we win, they are defeated on multiple fronts.
Just like when we won at ole miss with Tubberville leaving. So much fun after the game.

Agree. Our fans just don't get it like ole Miss fans do. Even though you know deep inside that RG3 knows nothing, you should act super excited and repost this shit everywhere like it's the absolute gospel. As a fanbase we need to learn how to play the game better.
We should be making shit up and feeding media with it.

I want the gold and maroon jersey's back, beating them with swagger.

I pray this happens. I want a bloodbath on the field. I want benches clearing and an all out brawl. But we gotta win the game.

I could definitely see him taking the Giants job, or Miami's if it were to open up. And going to the NFL is really a win-win, bc if he has success he's golden; if not and he's fired in a few years, he can just come back to college still as a prized commodity.

Had not thought about that as an option but sure makes a lot of sense.

Some younger Elitedawgs here may not realize that Lane Kiffin was the youngest head coach in the NFL with the Raiders from 2007 to September 2008 with a record of 5-15. At the time, he was the youngest coach in modern NFL history at 31 years old. Al Davis fired him and did not have a nice thing to say about him. He has been in the NFL ranks and may want another chance to prove himself a winner. Also true that if he is not a winner the second time around, he like Saban, who was a dud with the Dolphins, can return again to a big name college job of his choice. I for one, hope he leaves OM. Any turnover they have might help us. He has everything he wants from their administration and fan base at this time, and a gigantic pay raise in the near future if he stays. The word is he is building a gigantic compound in the Oxford area for himself, his brother, his children, and even a mansion for his ex-wife. I doubt he leaves OM. JMO.

Too blue collar for the internet, man. Our fans don’t know how to exit out of all their background apps on the iPhone. ****

He's in the catbird seat and knows it..waiting around to see how much OM will raise it. He likes it there.

Kiffin should take another job and win a national championship and then go to the NFL.
