Kind of backfired on him though because Kiffin is a much better coach than Freeze, so it makes me annoyed SR wasn't smart enough to see Freeze was more a flash in the pan and not that great of a coach
I get what you're saying but they also had to deal with Matt Luke after Freeze and the thing is I kind of doubt that Freeze would have been there much longer anyway. Coaches have a shorter shelf life than ever nowadays. They may very well would have hired Kiffin regardless.

After the Piss and Miss their football program has had about 6 years and running now of perfect storms that went their way outside of like the last two months of 2022. And even then, Leach passed away and it threw our program into disarray which without question helped their program as well.

Just replying to your comments, because it reminds me of a similar thought. They had a major NCAA investigation hanging over them, lost their coach out of it and hired Matt freaking Luke as HC. But they pivoted quickly with catching good on the perfect storm, but i still get irritated seeing our leadership(Cohen and others) squander at that time making good decisions after Mullen and keeping our foot on their throat. Old news, but still pisses me off the leadership we had through all this, and/or any input from meddlers that contributed to it.

Ole Miss has been prepared to capitalize on opportunity more than State has for a while now. Specifically in football.

Damn. Even if he comes back, we know how it goes for a guy at that level. LSU or Georgia will love him

i don't give a rip about how the guy dresses or looks, but if you CHOOSE to present yourself in that way then i do think you are open to some folks not being a fan. i don't like steve because i just don't like his podcast. i've got a friend who lives and dies by everything he says and when on a road trip a few years back he wanted to listen. i wasnt impressed. with the information nor what seemed to be the arrogance of which it was told. to be fair i'm not a big fan of any media personality...but for some reason i don't have a disdain for others like i do steve.

You really don't get the influences one has unless you walk that life. Peer pressure at a young age. The disease that is addiction.

Saying it's easy to "not do drugs" - that's such a main character ass take. Not everyone walks through life like you do. Have some empathy and listen to someone else's struggle. Be better.
I have been reading this board for a long time and decided to make an account a few months back but never posted. I can't say I agree with everything you post but man this is spot on. I've been down that road along with many of my friends and family members. I was able to kick the habit but so many of my friends and family are still struggling. Great people that will give you the shirt off their back but they fight a battle that no one can understand unless you have been there. Much respect for your view on this. Hail State!

Awesome I guess. I didn't realize all poor people do drugs because of surroundings and peer pressure. Good on him for working his way out of it.

When my late wife was diagnosed with cancer, Steve was very involved with organizing a fundraiser for her. He?s a good person in my book.

Yeah just see how many non big schools are represented on Super Bowl squads. It is pretty amazing. So much good talent goes untouched by the big schools. How OM got Chandless.

??? Did you just congratulate my friend for dying? What the ****. Don't bother responding. Either that's what you meant or your reading comprehension is that bad that you're not worth anyone else reading your posts again.

    So Sorry man.
Having already had chemo and being told mine will be back in a few years...I can say I still cannot imagine what all you both went through but maybe just an ounce of understanding.
