Speaking as someone who grew up poor and lost his childhood best friend at 23 to drug use (organ failure - not intentional overdose). It's not always that easy. Life affords different people different opportunities. And no this is not a comment on our skin color. I had parents who went to State and stuck together through my dad's illness. He wasn't so lucky to have a full family unit and his situation made them dirt poor.
You really don't get the influences one has unless you walk that life. Peer pressure at a young age. The disease that is addiction.
Saying it's easy to "not do drugs" - that's such a main character ass take. Not everyone walks through life like you do. Have some empathy and listen to someone else's struggle. Be better.
Awesome I guess. I didn't realize all poor people do drugs because of surroundings and peer pressure. Good on him for working his way out of it.
