Wow....I was there for Maine but it’s the loses to Bama (refs) and om (usually conservative play calling) were the worst. Losing to Bama, 14 AND then the debacle in velvet ditch that I STILL don’t know what happened to run a def cord off. Like Coach said JWS had several...his second yearn ox being in the redzone multiple times with no score, the year in DOGTOWN he forgot what the TE was the second half and letting JL Dunn go to a prevent and let tubby and one legged Matt Luke walk down the field and win. But I was there for the Immaculate deflection and the Dick Pace late pass int flag. What people forget is in BOTH of those games the Dogs were marching down the field with no resistance and pull up, stop trying for first downs and td’s and try a fg.......going conservative on offense late in the game lost both of those EB’s. One year Felker played a Bama team in Birmingham I think and they pushed a MSU receiver out of bounds on a potential winning drive. Also one of JWS was on the goal line that the receiver was on the right side went forward then broke left across back of the end zone but the Bama corner grabbed his jersey and held him up...sleepy got sacked I think but only one camera caught the game changing hold, and who could forget Brandon (hitman) spears and his forearm to the ankle tackles...........I’ll sit down now.

Maine and the 3-2 loss to Auburn in ?04. Period.

I was a sophomore during Tech-10 and it felt like the whole damn season was one hopeless clusterfudge after another.
Then we didn't move on from that for two more freaking years going 5-6.
Admittedly, we did win 1 conference game during each of those years.
Still, it was a nightmare time for football and Saturday night gave me a sunken, hollowed-out feeling in my gut that felt much like those seasons.

Took some time to think and I have seen some gut wrenching ones but the two UT games this year are it for me. What Tenn potentially meant for the program and now what a setback Tex feels like is enough to make them feel like top 2

1986 has to be mentioned
Rocky Felker's first year, started off 6-1 and ranked. Proceeded to lose every game after, with the worst being 47-0 by LSU.
10/25: Lost to Auburn, 35-6
11/1: Lost to Bama, 38-3
11/15: LSU loss, 47-0
11/22" ole piss loss, 24-3
That has to be the worst stretch of MSU football in modern history.

The 2018 team was a little bit different for me than most fans. I was so livid the day we hired Moorhead because I knew how bad he was so by the time the season started I knew it was not going to be more than 7 or 8 wins. I was more so just ready for something to happen to get rid of him. I honestly can?t remember a game we were up that big and lost off the top of my head. Under Leach we actually had some games we won in that fashion like Auburn 2021. I don?t think we were down that much but we blew the 2021 Arkansas game in a similar way with penalties. Ironically I feel like we have more games in our past 20 years or so where we get down big and then wake up in the 4th quarter and get close like the UF game than the way this UTx game went

Identifying the "worst stretch" in our history would be a very difficult task for us.

Wasn't 2017 when they let the Bama receiver run out of bounds on his own for about 10 - 15 yards right in front of the ref. And still allowed the reception to stand?

Yes and the om game was sadly laughable.......It flooded and there was a pond in the SE part of the field. For some reason Felker CONTINUED trying to run into the pond. I always wanted his thought process......om went on to the Gator bowl where Michigan ran for 5 or 600 yds against them.........
