Exactly. The guys that are wanted will cost a fortune to return bc players wanna win.

Watch the replay and watch when they come back from commercial when OT starts. They show it. It was touchy. Especially since the ref said "roughing the passer, second act" which I take to mean a second act after initial contact, like driving someone into the ground. There was none of that.

To be fair, touchy is all it takes to get one these days. I didn't much protest from our guys

Agree with Tater. We need to hire someone like Art B as an "analist" to help a whole lot with game management. That would take a lot of pressure off Lebby so that he could devote all of his time to OC duties and strategy. The analyst could effectively be the HC in the booth. Why not?

Can the actual analysts we have now even be involved during a game?

I spoke to someone Sunday who is a big giver. Not cigarboy giver, but he's a pretty big giver. His exact words were "I'm ready to take a step back from football after Saturday."

How many others like that (people that legit write checks that matter) are ready to cut bait with Lebby? If he goes 0-8 again, he needs to be fired, period.

This why we can?t have nice things.

Your giver needs to pony up for more quality depth on DL and OL so we can rotate guys in so we aren?t sucking wind and tired in the fourth quarter when we need to gut one out.

Firing Lebby this year is beyond retarded. We aren?t getting a quality coach in this bloodbath. We would wind up with some G5 coordinator that really doesn?t know his ass from a whole in the ground but the morons with pitch forks and no sense demanded it.

I don't agree with the last paragraph, but I absolutely agree with the first part. My contribution certainly isn't buying us an all American, but I will continue to give it whoever our leaders feel should be in charge

I respect his personal story immensely and who he is as a person. His professional takes are a different arena.

I am a small giver too and I didn?t go to State. I want them to succeed and firing Lebby is one of the most shortsighted things this university could do at this moment.

You don't think I could name 100 guys that would be winless in their first 12 sec games. I feel I could. Although I'd probably mess and a few (or more) would actually get 1

Winless? I didn?t read that part.

    In that case, please continue.

We are a few boneheaded decisions by coaches and players from being 7-1. It?s a learning curve for Lebby and we will see what he has really learned in year three.

Now here is what got my attention. With all the chaos coming into the SEC with coaching changes that plays to our advantage to have a third year coach. And, this is huge too, the portal this season will be absolute bonkers with all the coaching turnover. Steve said we could really load up on some talented guys in the portal bc it will be saturated.
Yeah, sounds great but so will everyone else.

SR is a tool. I take everything he says with a grain of salt. The portal will be wild as always. State needs are OL, QB,DL, CB. I hope Whitson gets a Medical Redshirt. The run defense would be a lot better with him

Start giving what he gives and you can start calling some shots.

I think he meant that took us from where we were losing every sec game by double digits to being in every game and losing 3 of 4 at the buzzer.
I'm sure there are some. But not sure how many we could realistically get.
