Stop being so emotional. The guy has had us in every game except aTm. Does he need to fix a few things? Sure but you don’t implode the house because the bathroom needs work.

Unless the damn toilet is overflowing with a shit so strong, the whole house has to be condemned!

I think there?s a gas leak and it?s just a spark away from blowing up the whole house meaning I think this team is close to quitting. At some point you can only be so close so many times before you just pack it in cause your spirit just gets broken.

Stay the course! We're just 2 years away from an sec win

Improvement doesn't count when you're improving on your own bad record.
Example: start being total dogѕhit at work tomorrow. And then after a week, start being mediocre but better. Do you think your boss is going to care about your "improvement" when you have 2 unacceptable weeks, but the slightly-better-but-still-bad being more recent?
Lebby needs to improve the program from where it was before he got here. We need to be better than 2023, where we went 5-7 (1-7).

Whatever. He's keeping us in games against much more talented teams.....he's losing them, which sucks....but we're in them. Hell I don't care, fire him, keep him, whatever...I hate being a fan of this program. It's miserable.
Losing that game was an abomination, so I can't really defend it. I still don't think there's but a handful of coaches that would even be competitive in these games, which I feel deserves at least SOME credit...but the lack of ability to close out a game at this point is hard for me to defend and I'm disgusted. So whatever. But just know that firing him is not going to suddenly make us competitive. It could most certainly be worse. And I'm sure mstate7 is about to say "what's worse than 0-16?!!"....but an 0-16 where we are at least blowing games against FAR superior talent is better than an 0-16 where we aren't even tuning in bc it's blow out city. And don't think that can't happen.
If Lebby gets a QB that doesn't shit his pants every time we have a chance to close a game out, all the sudden we may be a threat. I still think he needs another year, but F it....I can't defend the guy at this point after today. I'm sick. And I may very well finally be done with this garbage program. My heart can't take it anymore.

I think the bolded part is totally wrong. I think most decent (not even elite) head coaches would be better than 4-4 right now with us. Texas and Florida especially are garbage teams that didn't even care if they beat us, and we had a very clear path to victory but Lebbyed them away.
It would be one thing if we were hopelessly untalented and Lebby was just pulling out these awesome calls and motivations to get us close, but that's the opposite of what's happening. The players are good enough to have 6 or 7 wins and Lebby is the reason why we're not.

Yeah maybe if you give them Lebby's team he assembled they'd do better than 4-4....but that's part of coaching. He assembled a much better team this year, and while I'm crushed with the way we have failed to close these games when we should be 6-2 or even 7-1....I also am aware enough to see that he assembled a team that is far superior to last year, and has had chances to beat far superior talent, yet I can't argue that he's crapped the bed.
So yes, could a different coach take Lebby's team and be better than 4-4, possibly, probably....but could they have assembled the team to compete with the Tennessee's and Texas's of the league after the years of crap we had been through...I'm not so sure.
But again, hard to defend it, so if y'all want him fired, whatever...it won't fix shit but it's already garbage so whatever. I just feel like Lebby will be the opposite of a Moorhead...he'll win big at his next stop, and we will be sitting there saying we fired him a year or two too early. We can't compete with the elite jobs open and the carousel coming...so why not wait a year and see if we can go from dog shit, to very very competitive team that blows games they have won, to a team that closes them out next year? It's possible. Way more possible than us finding some great coach in this coach hiring cycle in my opinion. But again...whatever. I wish I could quit this program as a fan

I just see keeping Lebby as a lottery ticket that there's no reason to expect to pay. There are lots of established head coaches out there (see this list: https://www.elitedawgs.com/showthrea...hing-Hot-Board) that aren't going to be snatched up by bigger schools, most of whom we could double or triple or dectuple their salaries, that have long resumes of winning lots of games. Our NIL donors will bring in the talent for whatever coach, but unlike Lebby all of those guys have proven they can win as a head coach.
I guess it's always a lottery ticket any time you hire a coach and you just never know if a guy's previous experience will continue, but I'd rather try it with someone who has won a lot of games in their career than someone who never has.
If those 15 names don't work for you, Jimbo Fisher is also available and isn't likely to get an elite job.
