Losing that game was an abomination, so I can't really defend it. I still don't think there's but a handful of coaches that would even be competitive in these games, which I feel deserves at least SOME credit...but the lack of ability to close out a game at this point is hard for me to defend and I'm disgusted. So whatever. But just know that firing him is not going to suddenly make us competitive. It could most certainly be worse. And I'm sure mstate7 is about to say "what's worse than 0-16?!!"....but an 0-16 where we are at least blowing games against FAR superior talent is better than an 0-16 where we aren't even tuning in bc it's blow out city. And don't think that can't happen.
If Lebby gets a QB that doesn't shit his pants every time we have a chance to close a game out, all the sudden we may be a threat. I still think he needs another year, but F it....I can't defend the guy at this point after today. I'm sick. And I may very well finally be done with this garbage program. My heart can't take it anymore.
I think the bolded part is totally wrong. I think most decent (not even elite) head coaches would be better than 4-4 right now with us. Texas and Florida especially are garbage teams that didn't even care if they beat us, and we had a very clear path to victory but Lebbyed them away.

It would be one thing if we were hopelessly untalented and Lebby was just pulling out these awesome calls and motivations to get us close, but that's the opposite of what's happening. The players are good enough to have 6 or 7 wins and Lebby is the reason why we're not.
