Is Texas good?
FEI (14th nationally), FPI (7th), s&p+ (11th), and Massey (10th) all think they are.
I like us +7.5, but these ratings scare me off.
-
Under performing? Is it Sark?
They should have blown the doors off Kentucky. Texas scores their first touchdown of the first half late in the second quarter bc Kiblett returns a punt on a short field to the ten yard line.
Oh yeah, if we kick any ball directly to Kiblett the ST coach should be fired after the game. He was more of weapon than Arch last Saturday night.

"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

Ole Miss scored way more points on Kentucky than Texas.
IIRC, Kentucky sacked Arch four times.

I watched them some last week, and they looked horrible. I watched them vs Ohio state and Oklahoma though, and while the offense wasn't good, the defense was unbelievable. They held both teams below 275 yards total. I would feel much better had they rolled Kentucky bc I fear we get a much better effort this week

Great breakdown. Feels good we get the home field edge in this one
-
They are statistically the best offense we have played this year and also the worst offense in the SEC that we have played this year. I basically expect it to be low scoring.

Texas can't score points. I think we win a close one
-
Or ....... is Texas good enough to beat us.

That's a lot of advantages. Looks like we should win by at least 30.
-
We should beat them but I still remember what they did to Oklahoma. And yes I know Mateer had a bum hand but they stopped the run and forced Mateer to beat them. They will do the same to us.
-
Don't bet a lot of money on single opponent comparison conclusions.
-
If we beat Texas the rumors of Lane to Austin will start because they will fire Sark and Arch.

I want 8.5 before I will pull the trigger

The analytics love Texas. Have all year. They are a favorite over Vandy next week, too.
Their special teams has been their best offense lately. The punt return TD vs Oklahoma and averaged 44 yards per punt return against KY in a game they only had 179 yards total offense. 179!
No big plays on teams.
-
Why, yes. Yes we are.
-
That's a good one Edward!! I agree whole heartedly, or what is left of it!!

I could live with that.
