Well not really as people didnt travel as much then. I only saw 2 football games on campus before I got to college. We would only average 18-20K for campus games. But would get 35-40K in Jackson. The 1980's and the growth of our economy in the USA and especially in Mississippi was huge for us. They bowled in the stadium in Jackson. Scott Field only held about 33K then but in 1980- The Egg Bowl was packed in Jackson and had over 60K there
