MSU Alumni
Alumni association just announced we have 167,925 living alumni. If we could make a push for all alumni to donate $100 a month for one year, we could create a $201,510,000 endowment for the university.
I like and greatly appreciate all our big gifts, but sometimes feel the university misses out on small ways to tap into every pocket.

Just committed to and donated for an endowment scholarship.
It is addictive....and I am planning more to donate each year going forward.

Our current endowment is nearing $900 million. Should surpass $1 Billion in the next few years.

That would be great. I?d start with a little more realistic goal, like 1/4 give $25/month on top of current giving.

I hate to say it, but that's actually tiny compared to most standards.

I am interested to see our climb getting here. Wondering if more money has been donated in, say for example, the past 15 years compared to prior 20 before that

This. I feel like we are finally starting to tap into resources. We need to start with the big donors and work down to the small line they are doing. The dawg tours are a great way and an example of what they've done in the past to raise interst in sports. Keenum did a tour last year with a group going around. They just need to get out there. That will help with the smaller donations. Seems the admin is starting to understand that can't keep doing the same thing over and over while everyone else is growing. This is why we all pushed for someone in the outside brought in instead hiring within and having no insite on how to improve, grow.
Everyone hypes Byrne as an ad here but he cursed is with Strickland and Cohen. Strickland at least tried to be innovative.

So long as you don't try to supersize anything I'm good. Don't be trying to sneak a large coke in there.
