Reeves and Cupp and way better offensively than Trout. He is garbage. Trout is a .230 SEC hitter with no arm in CF. His arm is embarrassing in CF. Pick which one can play SS and put the other in CF and let's roll.

Didn't Stevens sit out today? Nevermind, saw he was hurt.

In addition to the annual we are Omaha bound Todd post, didn?t somebody say that Highfill was a first round pick at catcher?

    This whole team is weak

Reeves is your SS until he proves otherwise.
You want Cupp to play centerfield?

This is Lemo?s issue. He can?t make a decision and stick to it. Period end of story. Great leaders make hard decisions and hard decisions quick.

You wouldn?t see a CEO of F500 company waffle on product line/strategy like Lemo does. You wouldn?t see military leaders waffle on plan of attack either. It?s just lack of decision making ability or ability to make the difficult decision.

Got to say the Transfer hitter scouting and recruiting was very well done:

    (1) Sullivan - All SEC
    (2) Reece - Very complete and could be All SEC next year
    (3) Reeves - would be cool if he had another year
    (4) Stallman - not super but way better than expected + 1 year
    (5) Frei - very competent switch hitter and gets another year

Baseball is weird and often times we see a team leave many many guys on base as we did yesterday but to then pitch hit in a way that appears to be just giving up in the 9th is perplexing. Heck just put Highfill in CF in place of trout.

    You mean better hitter.
On what are you basing your assertion that Cupp can play CF? He's an average SS and, to my knowledge, has never practiced at or played CF.

I do agree that our lack of a CF is ridiculous.

I've never seen a SS that couldnt play the OF. Cupp hits better, has a better arm. Should be just as good if not better out there with the glove.

we could go Frei, Stevens, and Stallman left to right. Stevens runs pretty well.

Getting regular AB's makes a difference. I'm never going to bang on a guy getting 3 AB's a weekend. I've been there

My juco coach was an idiot- when I played regularly? I hit .300
    When I played sparingly? I hit .200

But why? I'd rather Cupp play over Stallman. Cupp is more consistent while Stallman has more power

Yeah maybe. Altuve and others have struggled in the bigs this year in the OF. Stallman should be a high OPS guy with consistent ABs.

Didn't Ace Reese play some OF in the fall and last year at Houston? Could we shift him to a corner OF spot, move Stevens to CF, and Cupp to 3B? I don't know but Cupp's bat is a really good one to be left out of the lineup. He also has an OBP over 100 points higher than Chance.
