    Batting order has to change

Trout is hitting .189 in SEC play. Stevens .318. Cupp on the season is over .500 with OBP and over .400 in SEC play

    What I would do:

    1. Reeves/Sanders 2B
    2. Cupp- SS He gets on base.
    3. Stevens RF He is hitting the ball consistently
    4. Sullivan DH Most consistent hitter
    5. Hines 1B Since he changed his approach- he is hitting .444 and has a 8 game hitting streak
    6. Reese 3B Take some pressure off him for awhile
    7. Downs LF Let him get consistent AB's instead of 2 here and there
    8. Trout way too much weak contact to stay in the top half of the order
    9. Catcher

CC and I have been saying since week 2 just stick to something, the constant changes are no good for anyone.

Cupp gets on base I would make him leadoff. The 234 hitters did absolutely crap this weekend. Glad HH got his act together. Still would like to know who worked with him. He has been slowly improving sine the start of SEC play. But we need to get someone to protect him/ Sitting him that gae and moving him down in the order helped him out.

Left Field is becoming a problem. SEC play so far:

    Down 1/15
    Stallman 3/22

    4/37....108

Maybe move Reeves to LF and keep Sanders at 2B

    1. Frei, LF- take a 1000 fungos
    2. Reese, 3B, can't believe he's not already 2 hole
    3. Sully, DH
    4. Hines, 1B
    5. Stevens, CF
    6. Downs, RF
    7. Cupp, SS
    8. Catcher
    9. Sanders, 2B

bingo, yes, this is our best lineup with nolan in CF.

Frei needs to be leadoff and everyday player. frei is our toughest guy and sets the tone, no b/s with him. frei is just as good defensively as anyone playing. I rotate Frei and Ace Reese between 3B and LF.

    fri ~ pico
sat ~ mcpherson 2 iinings then makai middle innings and try to get 5 to 6 innings with them. Makai has special stuff.
    sun ~ siary

state has a chance to win the next 4 series too.

I've thought about Frei in LF.

At this point, I don't think Downs or Chance deserves to continue getting starts. Their performance in SEC games is atrocious (see below). I would think Frei could play left. If not, talk to Ace and see if he's willing to at least play some games in LF to get Frei in the lineup. Hell, I'd play O'brein in CF over Chance at this point. At least get the young guy some opportunities.

    1. Reeves 2B
    2. Ace 3B/LF
    3. Sully DH
    4. Hines 1B
    5. Stevens, RF
    6. Frei 3B/LF
    7. Cupp SS
    8. Ross C
    9. O'Brien CF
