Wasn't intentional at all. Highfill had a SO and a dribbler back to the pitcher prior to that AB. I think that when the pitcher came out of his wind up and Highfill turned to bunt it threw off his timing and he just lost control. Struck Highfill on the left side of nasal bone. It will bleed a lot and it hurts like hell so he might be out the weekend, but hopefully not too long
A long time ago we were taught if someone squared away , while we are in the pitching motion to jamb them. That pitcher did that last night.
I don't care what Lemonis says if I am a pitcher today , OU better not square around to bunt while I am pitching.
