    Basketball Transfer Portal Thread

Well.....starting this a little earlier than I wanted to. We desperately need a true PG. Not a scoring PG. A guy who can run the offense and let Hubbard roam. We also need some sort of post player. A couple of 3 and D guys would be nice too but everyone who comes to State forgets either the 3, the D, or both so I imagine that ship has sailed. Bolded guys are officially in the portal.

    Possible Targets:

    Dedan Thomas-UNLV-PG
    Josh Dix-Iowa-SG
    Gabe Cupps-PG-Indiana
    Adam Njie-PG-Iona
    Bryce Hopkins-PF-Providence
    Lawson Lovering-C-Utah
    Nick Davidson-C-Nevada
    Malik Reneau-PF-Indiana
    Quimari Peterson-PG-ETSU
    Pryce Sandfort-SF-Iowa
    Chase Forte-PG-South Dakota St
    Wes Enis-PG-Lincoln Memorial(D2)
    Jaden Henley-SF-UNLV
    Themus Fulks-Milwaukee
    Tyler Lundblade-SG-Belmont
    Alex Chaikin-SG-Lafayette
    Carmelo Pacheko-SG-Mt. St. Mary's
    DJ Richards-McNeese St
    Kam Craft-SG-Miami(OH)
    Joe Nugent-SF-Holy Cross
    Moe Odum-PG-Pepperdine
    Trevan Leonhardt-PG-Utah Valley
    Sean Newman Jr.-PG-La Tech
    Treysen Eaglestaff-SG-North Dakota

    Departures:

    Cam Matthews
    Claudell Harris
    RJ Melendez
    Kanye Clary-transfer
    Michael Nwoko-transfer to LSU
    Martavious Russell-transfer
    Adrian Myers-transfer
    Jeremy Foumena-transfer
    Riley Kugel-transfer

    Possible Departures:

    Keshawn Murphy
    Del'Quan Warren

He'll test the waters out of all likelihood. I do expect him to come back but I expect that at the very least, he tests the NBA waters.

Completely forgot about Foumena. Yea we'll definitely lose Clary. Also didn't know Adrian Myers was still on the team.

I hope we didn't actually pay any NIL to Clary. If so money down the rathole.

We did. Now we didn't pay it all thankfully because our NIL payments are monthly so we did recoup some of that money. I also know our basketball NILs are mostly backloaded because of when the season is. Football guys are front loaded and basketball and baseball are more back loaded I believe. I could've gotten that completely backwards though.

Until our fans and alumni get their heads out of sand in regards to NIL-we will continue to have to take the head cases because that?s what we have budgeted for.
You pay for what you get. It?s beyond sad Ole Miss has passed us in the Big 3 and women?s basketball even.

It?s time for Selmon to really step it up another gear and get everyone pulling in same direction. And there is going to be push back to that for obvious reasons.

Well we basically have two guys heading up basketball NIL. We need about 10 more.

Both of them can probably afford all of it. We just need about 10 more like the second one. We don't have many other alums like the first, especially ones that love basketball as much as he does.

Those two up enough for this portal class and to keep three big players. One personally had a hand in keeping Cam and Key.

OM winning today sucks, but I bet it helps us. I'm crazy enough to think the real money guys behind basketball help Jans even more now. OM putting pressure on us to raise our level.

After this season, I have a feeling Jans will prioritize defense. We going aTm style
