I?ve kind of just accepted that we will check the box that we made the tournament again. It definitely is better than we are used to but we just spiral at the end of the year and that is concerning. The Texas loss was just horrible at home and that should not have happened.

I've come to despise basketball. Refs give them 2 free throws for the win on a non-foul foul and then we have a point blank shot for the win at the buzzer and miss. Just another massive gut punch to follow up the Texas game.

Meh. They are entertainment. At some point all the losses and letdowns in every program becomes not entertaining. Mismanagement, lack luster recruiting, etc. meh.

Yup. We looked almost lifeless until deep in the second half.

I disagree, tough way to lose it but Hubbard was 4-14 in this game as usual with his volume shooting. He is also a tremendous disability on defense and big reason we give up about 90 points a game. You cannot tell me that there is not dissension on this team as he has taken over 100 more shots than the next closest player. We are now 6-10 in our last 16 games and don't look like they even enjoy playing together. I can't blame them with a scheme of Hubbard being the center of the offense and getting his win or lose, with most of them losses recently.

Fans are allowed to be dissatisfied with their team's performance, especially when it's become a pattern and is happening against inferior teams like today. It doesn't make them lesser fans.

We can't beat Calipari anyway.

True about Hubb from 3 but when he drives he almost always get the basket or fouled and he is dam near perfect from the foul line. Still those shots should have been made.

We finished the year losing to OK, TX and Ark and 4 of the final 4 SEC games. Are the fans supposed to be throwing out compliments?

If we had opened the second half with any kind of energy at all, we probably win handily. One of the most confounding teams we've ever had. Very frustrating.

I don't see anyone throwing out compliments, but "we will lose by 15+ guaranteed" seems extreme. Those 3 losses are by 13 combined

Yes that was extreme but understand the frustration from which it emanates.

Those 3 losses are against the caliber teams we are going to face round 1. Our luck will flip at some point I hope

Whatever, we also won some close games. Bottom line is we finished 6-10 in our last 16 games and only 2-10 against anyone not named OM or SC. Just a very disappointing season given what this team could have done.
I do agree folks saying we will lose by 15+ is extreme. I missed the comment.

Is it extreme? We will probably be a 10 - 12 seed meaning we will play against 5-7 seed. On a neutral floor. We will get stomped per usual. If Lunardi’s predictions are close we will be in Indianapolis probably playing Clemson, Marquette or UCLA. We will get beat handily.

Hubbard draws a double team and someone is open or he can hit the big shot. He just hit the big 3 on previous shot to put us ahead. I don't care if Hub had a bad shooting night, he is the guy.
The team losses are just that team - no one has played well all year. If not for Hub late season, we'd been embarrassed several more times.

4-10 not OM or SC
Should have beat UK, Bama and TX at home and OK and Ark on road. That is 5 more wins. Do that and we feel pretty good about year. Just 3 of those games and we feel good.

We are 6-10 in our last 16 SEC games. But yea, it's technically 3-10 against anyone other than OM or SC because one of our wins against SC was in our first two conference game of the year. And yes, there are other wins we could have had but other losses as well. We won @ GA by 1, @ SC in OT,, OM at home in OT.. We had actually been good in the really tight ones in conference until the last two. But we don't really make any big shots or FTs at the end of games to win. The close ones we've won we had a lead and were trying to hold on at the end.
