    Starting Lineup Moving Forward

I will preface this by saying I seriously doubt Jans does anything with the starting lineup. But right now we are sputtering offensively. I think it may be time to shake things up a little and open up the offense. Just my opinion but I kind of think we need to at least try out:

    PG:Hubbard
    SG:Kugel
    SF:Melendez
    PF:Matthews
    C:Murphy

This will probably give us the best offensive chance outside of going 4 guards and Matthews, which I am also not against. And this is not a shot at Nwoko. This is of no fault of his. I just think maybe if we can spread the floor a bit more it will open driving lanes for Matthews, Melendez, and Kugel and let Hubbard and the guards relocate and spot up for 3s on the kick outs.

Josh is a point guard in that he brings the ball up the court about 60% of the time. Other than the occasional alley oop, he's not a distributor, and once he gets over the timeline, the ball goes to Cam at the top of the key anyway.

Jans and his staff are going to have to find a way to free up Josh or Harris. Other teams don't seem to have any problem getting uncontested looks against our D, but Josh is having to jack up shots off balance or with somebody in his face because we run nothing to get him open.

The movement on offense compared to when we played Pitt and Memphis is non-existent.

Which is why I think we need to go to a more guard oriented lineup. It gets more ball handlers on the court and opens up the lane for drives. This allows our shooters to relocate and spot up. I thought when Josh was able to spot up last night he was ok.

I will change it up a little more
It is position less basketball but I would go with
    Kugel
    Harris
    Melendez
    Matthews
    Murphy

Hubbard is the first guy off the bench as he was last year. If everything is going good, I would bring him after the 1st media timeout.
You can easily bring Hubbard in if the 1st few minutes isn?t going well. We have to change things up somehow

This. Hubbard should not be starting because as a PG he cannot facilitate and seems to only score when he is playing off ball.

The bottom line is we shoot poorly from 3, and we can't defend the 3. In today's game there's just no way to make a deep run when you pair those two things together. I love our team, it's been a fun season, but that's two GLARING issues.

We are ranked #247 in 3-point percentage and #276 in 3-point defense.

Pretty good batting average. Not so much for basketball. I thought Jans brought in Kugel, Harris, and Melendez for their 3 point shooting. Turns out they are more about slashing and cutting into the lane and getting layups blocked or bricked 3 point attempts. Good thing we had that resume building non-conf. Schedule!

I don't really care who starts, but I do care who gets most minutes. We beat OM with top two scorers off bench and they logged top 5 minutes too as they should have.

Starters should probably have to do with game plan vs other team each week and what you need to establish to start the game. Your best 5 are what you listed.

Need a true PG. Could use a true Big.

Hubbard would be able to shoot out of his slump if just one of those components were in place.

Nobody will say what the deal is with Clary.
