Hardy (rb) commits to Mizzou. I had hoped we would get a visit but his asking price was apparently pretty high.
Bates (OL) to SMU - wasn?t sure if we pushed for a commit or not

We should have the pick of the litter once the playoff contenders are done and in the portal.**
From playoffs to likely not even bowling.

I'm expecting some good news the next couple days but I'll be honest, this version of recruiting is so wild you never really know. I was talking to someone last night about it all and they said just the expense involved with getting kids to come on a visit is wild. These street agents are even worse and a lot of kids are working with them.

I'm starting feel better about a few things. A few things are still ugly but we knew it would be tough.

DL is still very concerning. Not EDGE as much as DT. WR is a tad concerning but we have too much to sell at that position for me to have any worry. We are on some good WRs and a couple that are still in the playoffs that just haven't gone in the portal yet.

I'm not worried about WR's. Mississippi is loaded with them and diamonds in the rough are everywhere. Truthfully, if we get/use the big bodies in the middle then our LB's and edges are the key. I like the fact we're addressing those key positions.
We've signed enough big bodies to plug the middle on defense. Get a Rb, some OL, and find some WR's. If/when we do this team can go bowling next year. Yes, the schedule will be tough but there will be drop-off from alot of the teams we play. ASU, Arkansas, Mizzou, Ole Miss, will be winnable games.

I'm not 100% there yet but I feel decently confident that Jaray Bledsoe joins the class within the next 48 hours. He and Gullette are very close and I think he knows he can come in and compete for a starting spot day 1 here.

Lebby and Hutz coaching their asses off next season to scrape and claw to 6 wins is the only way to keep this entire situation from going nuclear and permanently damaging the football brand.

Well we're already a better football team. I think that in and of itself will get us to 4 wins, Arizona St will be rebuilding and not near the football team they were this year when we still almost beat them. I personally think if you continue to add in the portal, there's 3 SEC games we can pick off next year.

Bledsoe played RB in high school. 4th and goal guy?

I agree. It's on Lebby to find a way to win those games last year they lost by 10 points or less. He should also improve to better starts to win games. I know the defense will be better. It's now on the offense.

If you can figure out how to use him like Pegues then I'm good with it. If not, we need to find a big bruising back and tell him he's only getting in when we're on the goal line so make the most of it.

I actually thought Moseley was better than the amount we used him for. He was a favorite of mine early on and seemed to fade.

The opposition level increased

He had 211 yds against EKU and UMASS. He had 194 the other 10 games combined. It wholly had to do with competition. He will get better, but he's still at best a WR2. You really would rather him be a WR3.
We're on some really good WRs. Just have to get them in for visits. A lot of WRs are seeing the numbers for Rivers and Singleton and thinking they are going to get that as well.

Townsend to Ole Miss is disappointing. My bigger concern now is the J. Smith visit to Auburn. That seems to be a guy Hutz really wants and he's going to a place that is really throwing money around this year.

That literally had zero to do with your point. Like I said, the opposition increased and that is why his production declined. Some of you on here are so weird about sticking to your talking point lol.
