Shapen didn?t have the run game going that was there with MVB. However I think Shapen hits some of the throws and we beat both Mizzou and OM. But again, you never know. You can?t sit there on the other side and say he could or couldn?t win whatever games. I just know Shapen didn?t have the run game going at the time of his injury that MVB did. Booth really turned it on late in the year.
Look- at end of day, MVB was only here because of Lebby. Lebby made an executive decision and whether or not you like it or not-he knows his room. It could cost him his job or he will look like a genius. But I know in business, you make an executive decision and you don?t look back. He made a decision not to cave to a $1.5MM asking price to a 20 year old freshman. There are several here who want to take ?moneyball? approach and giving that much money to MVB was not ?moneyball ?. He could turn out to be Sawyer or he could turn out to be like Locke. You never know. People didn?t think we could replace Zavion either.

No one has said that.
I just hoped that holes would be filled and that we would get Arnold because that would have been a huge perception win for MSU.
We are at least filling holes it seems like but there is a ways to go as well.

More than MVB. Shapen's issue isn't talent. It's durability.
I could easily see him beating Mizzou and Ole Miss last year.

Among players with at least 10 pass attempts of 20+ yards, Blake Shapen was 2nd in completion percentage on those throws at 58.8%. He had the 4th highest completion percentage on intermediate passes at 72.2%.

Why do you talk to the rest of the board like they have never seen a game of football

Shapen is a player. If he can get healthy and stay healthy that is a very good thing. If we have him at the same time that the run game finally got going there is a very good chance that we look at this season in a much brighter light. The guy can play

Yep. I know exactly who in here would be having a melt down next year when MVB dirt balls a slant on 4th and 3 to end a game lol

Ugh and that is with Traore dropping that dime for a 60 yard walk in TD at ASU. Which we lost by one score

If he was such a baller..don?t you think he wins more than one game as a starter? I?ll sit and wait.
Also-what if I told you the only reason they took MVB was to also try and get Craver? Kinda the reason JoeMo offered Will to get Mingo?
Do you think LSU had to offer another player from us to convince craver to come there? A player worth more than craver? You can't be serious.

Because a few of you are about 25 years behind the rest of the world when it comes to football.

No bud, I am. Those two want to play together. Reason Craver left was because we wanted also guarantee MVB was the starter. Ask your SEC family members how recruiting works. Since you?re mouthing off so much about how things work.

It will NOT let us know which was the better College QB. Dart was better as a College QB. He may not translate to the NFL. There is no doubt Dak was the best QB in our history, and he has done very well for a 5th round draft pick. Because Eli won a couple of bowl games called SUPER in the NFL, That doesn't mean he was more rounded QB in college.

Eli was 10 times the Qb Dart was at Ole Miss. Eli literally called plays, adjustments, pointed out the defense, went through progressions all on each play. Dart gets his plays and audibles from a microphone in his helmet. He's spoon fed every situation. He makes no adjustments and can't read a defense. We literally only took away his deep threat and he almost lost the game. Dart is a gimmick Qb

You realize that you are saying LSU is giving a "worthless" QB between 500-900k just to get Craver?
