Freeze has taken the part of the Gospel where Satan tempts Jesus in the wilderness and made it a recruiting strategy.
Freeze has taken the Ed Oregeron recruiting strategy and then added the Gospel.

Getting back to main thing. I know we are trying to get UF OL Damien George in. We just offered USC LB Raesjon Davis in. Hutz doing a decent job flipping his LB room. Turner needs to get Sam Houston edge in the boat.
The one area I am concerned is Corey?s unit. I hate that we didn?t cock block McBath. I can?t stand him. He was the reason DeCameron went to portal last year too.

I don’t want MVB back. But just to clarify, did that ship sail when Shapen agrees to come back?

The ship sailed with what he was asking. The price was around 1.5 or so that was told I had also heard it was 1.1. But regardless another thing I heard was he wanted to be guaranteed the starting position for two years. You just can’t be held hostage like that in today’s game.

No the guy wanted over $1MM to come back. So essentially we were going to pay $1MM for one win last year. And he also cost us both Mizzou and Ole Miss

Lebby is smarter than most give him credit for. Always have a good plan B and leave nothing to chance. If Arnold wanted to be here in Lebby's offense he wouldn't have taken the Auburn visit. He would have made it to Starkville and signed the papers without hesitation.

We're going to need a veteran starting QB now that we screwed up Arnold. This Kroemenjoek guy doesn't have enough experience.

Why? We have that in Shapen already

Huh? Chuck begged us not to listen to Steve anymore, like many on this board do, because he's "claiming that JA has canceled remaining visits". Well, Steve was right. And like another poster said, he's right more often than not.

Now that that particular QB controversy is behind us, who is on campus today and what commits are we feeling good about?
I’d appreciate ANY and ALL thoughts and insight.
Cheers

That would be great, getting a 5 star to commit sure couldn’t hurt with skill guys and OLmen.

Sategna and Brady Wilson, OL from UAB, are the announced visitors. There are rumors Kromenhoek is already on campus and rumors of two surprise visitors, I believe 2 WRs

How do we stand on that LB and other defensive players we are going hard after?

That’s what I need to hear. Any word on DL? It seems that we are doing very well on positions we need but I haven’t seen much on the DL.

Yea that is concerning. I am hoping it is just a we want to see where the market sets itself but we need to start making some moves on that front.

Feel really good, but again, you never like them to leave without committing. Always leaves room for another visit.

They can?t sign until after midnight on the last day they visited. So with Jalin Smith, today would be the day he could sign.
