There was never any truth that they were a package deal. We have just as much chance at Anderson now as we did before.

I would be surprised if he wins the job.
But hey, if he does that would be a good sign for us.

Hugh Freeze will replace him by Game 4. Not because Arnold is bad, he is just bad for that system. They will go with Duece Knight by October, if not sooner. Can’t wait to watch Freeze throw him under the bus after the first loss, because it will happen.

No. Doesn't mean we will get him though.

Auburn plays at OK this year, too.

I feel fairly confident we will lock him up. Then again, now that we are on him 4 other teams will magically pop up. It is why our coaches do not like feeding who we are after to any of the media. They learned this last year with a few WRs.

Yikes. That will be a bad game. If they get Mateer, OU will be improved. I really wish we would pivot off Kromenhoek and go after Preston Stone. He is a healthier Shapen, and he is faster.

From someone who knows the SEC and comes from a football family, I sure have lost all faith in Lebby. The hires was so bad and him knowing Freeze would be interested in Aronld in the first place. He should have had that young man to visit a lot sooner and been on him like glue. All I heard was, we have the money to get him, if we really did, seems like from all the talk, Lebby would have landed him. Maybe I'm wrong, but to me he just doesn't have that it factor to get the major things done. Then he keeps the worst DC we ever had. This is not a good look at all I see from a head coach. But I love MSU and hope this class will bring things up steady and get better, he has got to do things different and fast.

Then Hugh will get fired. Knight is farther away from playing than Taylor is, IMO. Both have the same issue. The only legitimate QB coaching they have gotten has been with Wyatt Davis in 7 on 7.

Every school has portal problems, yes some have bigger issues but to say or think "we are Mississippi State" is old news. There are only around a dozen schools who want have much problem moving forward, but out of say 130 D1 schools, it's a huge problem with transfers, portal and NIL money. Free market for so called amateur sports is a joke now days!

I mean, we have six transfers, and probably getting 2 to 3 more today, and the portal has been open for five days. We are already night and day better on defense for next year just with the inclusion of Manning, Hibbler, and Sanders. We need to close on Barnes and Smith at linebacker. And we need at least one war daddy upfront that can be a plug-in play starter.

If he has no sec options, we have a shot. If he gets any other one, find someone else

I would keep MVB. Not for a million dollars but.....keep his options open.

Mississippi kid vs a non-Mississippi kid - this has been my qualifier. We can pull out of state kids if they don't have other sec options.

I would definitely take Kromenhoek over bringing MVB back.

So is that Murphy kid still going to AU? Wonder what he thinks about Hugh now?

Exactly. Whole different situation. If it's a Mississippi kid, we have a great shot. If the player is not from Mississippi, we have almost NO chance.
