Good lord can people please STOP listening to Steve?! His only sources are Auburn people. Folks are up in arms over him saying Arnold has no more visits planned out. Smh

Sure wish we had a home basketball game tomorrow instead of in Tupelo.

He is going with the sources he has. Just like I am. I just do not believe Steve has any Mississippi State sources anymore, I also do not think he has any Arnold sources. I think it is just Auburn sources and then who he has cobbled together over the years, other beat writers. No national guys though.

Nobody trust Steve. As soon as he hears anything, he runs straight to his board.

I set my phone down this morning and tried to sort through the 2 threads, but did not see this answered.

Is Arnold scheduled to visit tomorrow or fly in tonight? Did the bidding war get settled last night?

Big picture here. Whether we get Arnold or Kromenhoek, they both are very talented QBs that we are in on. Kamario Taylor is the highest rated QB we have ever signed. Both of them were rated higher than Kamario. This is QB recruiting the likes of we have never seen at Mississippi State.

Heck, the backup option we are looking at, Deshawn Purdie, has offers from us, Florida, and Georgia. By backup option, he's being looked at as a backup.

Also, let's not forget that the issue with Blake Shapen is his health. The guy was completing almost 70% of his passes, and they weren't just dink and dunks. He was averaging 9.0 yards per attempt. He had thrown 8 TDs to 1 INT and didn't complete 4 games. The guy was on pace to throw for 3,300 yards and 25 TDs.

I feel great with shapen 2.0 if we have a back up. My main problem with shape is that we likly won’t have him full go in spring. We need our 1 full go for spring.

If Arnold is out, gotta hit on Luke Kromenhoek.

What’s your feel on whether we could get the FSU kid to bite?

The fact that he?s visiting suggests he?s interested, and I am unaware of any other visits he has.

According to Steve Robertson, his family respects Lebby and sees this as an opportunity to reset his career.

You have to think after how poorly his first year went that playing in a system that has been very beneficial to a number of qbs would be the best thing for him in the long run.

Shapen will beat him out and Kamario will beat him out in 26. People do not realize how insanely talented Taylor is. He is a physical freak. I still think we bring in someone to start in 25. Hell I still do not think Arnold is out of the question. I know our “media” does not know jack shit so I take their word about like I would take Freeze word that is faithful to his wife.

So are we looking at JA for a one year starter?

I mean I guess that's everyone these days

2 imo. KT is super talented, but not enough to beat out JA in 2026 if he's our starter this year too. KT take over in 2027
