I hope you are right, it?s not like he lit up the scoreboard at OU the last two years.

So now you are moving the goalposts. Now it is well he always loses his best receiver but how many had eligibility. Like dude, this is the portal era. Someone is going to have 65/900/7 in this offense next year. And someone else is going to have 45/550/4. My money is on Sheffield being that first number and Anderson being the second.

We loaded up with transfers last year (19) to get to 2-10, so it isn't like upgrading is a given

Hopefully you're right. You weren't on carver and Coleman, and unlike everyone here, I think they're pretty big losses
ETA... and I'm not trying to come across as calling you out on missing on craver and Coleman. I appreciate you guys that tell what you know, and I realize no one knows what these kids will do.

I want Arnold BAD now that we lost MVB, but yeah, I'm not sure why anyone would follow Arnold here. The Arnold smoke certainly hasn't helped us retain good WRs

I was never sure on Craver. I had gotten mixed signals. I will admit I was wrong on Coleman. We got played on that one unfortunately

Proximity to home is what got us. We offered him everything he wanted except for proximity to home.

There is nothing MSU could do about a player's local school offering him and a player wanting to go home.
It would be no different than us offering a player from Jackson an opportunity to play at MSU that is at Kentucky and we get that player.

Not sure I want a guy who is suspended a couple of times back anyway. Especially at slot WR which is very expendable.

I get where you are coming from, but you also have to realize this year most of his receivers were hurt and he was running a different scheme. He played pretty well with the opportunities he had when lebby was there.

The reality is receiver is one of the easiest positions to replace.
Focus on the trenches and securing your QB and WR takes care of itself

But supposedly we are improving the defense. We will hold teams to 3-6 fewer points next year. Who cares if we lose our big play ability on offense because the defense will be better. You see, it's all good.

Jaron Glover is visiting tomorrow. He?s exactly the type of WR that will produce big numbers in this system.

Glover can be a really solid 2 for us. If you could pull him, Anderson, and Sheffield then you have not only replaced Coleman and Craver but you have gotten better.

Jalen Smith visit tomorrow is really important. If it goes well I think we get him. He would be a plug and play starter.

What are the chances we land the Tulsa receiver?

I really do not know where he is on our board. I had heard he was lower, but Rosebowl seems to believe he is higher. So we shall see on him.
Inversely, I have been hearing we were much higher on Sheffield than he seems to think we are.
