14. Mississippi (24,710)

I find it hard to believe OM is larger than State. Historically, MSU has been about 25% larger than OM and was the last time I saw the numbers.

Depends if you count in the med school in Jackson as part of "Ole Miss" or not, I believe.

Yes, I believe ole miss counts every extension location in this, including med school.
Their main campus is less than MSU

TAM also has at least 3 sub campuses.

Having a good football team has proven to boost enrollment.

Being known as a party school esp in Atlanta boosts enrollment.

They cheat and count their satellite campuses. If we counted Meridian, we'd be bigger. And if we really have been passed by them in just main campus enrollment, that says it all. It should also be grounds for the immediate firing of Keenum and everyone else in senior positions in the university.
It's the roller coaster of hope that this program keeps us on that makes it hell being a State fan. - CadaverDawg, 10/15/22

ole miss has too many students in oxford now. there is literally no parking available, some students are parking at the old mall across jackson and having to walk back to dorms. The university has just purchased an apartment complex which will be freshman housing. FYI-Keenum don't GAF

OM is counting 7 campuses including UMC. I'm sure other schools probably do similar things, so input little stock in those numbers.
Keenum refuses to expand our reach & would rather just get MS Juco transfers.

My Diddie bought me a new car to go to school in !!!!!!!!!!!!

When I see this, I think how sad that for our small state we decided to have two universities instead of one powerfully connected university.
Combine ole miss and MSU and you see us at number 2 in enrollment, and a powerhouse historically for all sports. A stadium for football of 100,000.

They are certainly growing, but that number includes UMMC. This data comes from the IHL website and they specifically note the UofM enrollments with & without UMMC. (fyi, 2024 enrollment figures have yet to be released).

Regardless of who's going where, we have to start embracing out of state students. We shit on them constantly, but it has been a big driver of their national brand. And that was before Kiffin. They have gotten it for so long and we still don't. We'd rather get 100 kids from the Delta when 60% of them will be home after the first semester than get 100 kids from Atlanta, GA. That's the backwards ass thinking that keeps people believing Oxford is this metropolis in Mississippi and Starkville is a two stoplight town with 3 bars.

Actually I found the enrollment from a newspaper print.

Enrollment at the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa pretty much doubled under Saban's tenure.

Assuming this is including grad students and online only?
