Regardless and I know this isn't NIL related- we do need to upgrade at DC. Not stacking the box tonight was dumb.

Just for football. Again, did not use it all last year. Of course peruse on over to Genes Page and all of them are saying they will never give again. So that will probably knock donations down a good 35-40 dollars.

Did you notice on the last series when we absolutely had to have a stop, we played it like they were going to throw the ball. And when the defense finally got up there to the line when it was 4th and 1, he still ran over out guys. And again on 3rd and 5, we cried the line and he breaks free for a 45 yard run to seal it. My gosh, I believe our male cheerleaders who have to lift those 110 pound coed cheerleaders are stronger than our linemen and linebackers. Blanton made several tackles, 7-8-9 yards down the field laying on his back. He should have stuck to baseball.

We are coming off a historic coach who revolutionized much of the game that when he did leave a program, said programs crashed due to his recruiting and system. We backed that up by making possibly the most historically shitty decision to hire the previous staff. Our recruitment has been very poor for the last 5 years and on top of that compared to our league we are very poor and very rural. So check back when we dig out of that reality. I literally started a thread last Sunday saying this would be a really tough game and got called dumb for it. I didnt expect to win, but being totally manhandled by ASU is pretty awful. Maybe one day I if I eat flintstone vitamins I will grow up to be the genius you are. This is my goal

I thought he made a few adjustments in the second half that helped us. I also think they helped us out a few times too.

They're play calling helped us. Dude could have rushed for 300 yards if he wanted. We should have changed the defense on the spot to adding another DL in the game. ASU was not trying at all to pass. The game looked like a high-school DC was calling plays.

Then why didn't we use that on defense this year? I feel like all our portal pick up were on offense. We got Blanton but that's the only one I remember getting excited about and I expected him to come here a few years ago

I guess hiring someone who has never called a defense on this level and making him our dc wasn't the best idea. Who would have thought.

Why not make him come defensive coordinator if you had that much faith in him and get someone else who has actually done it before.

No doubt it will take time, got to give this staff another year or so. It's going to be who can build a team each year now days. Lebby talks good and seems to be smart, it's all a learning process right now.

Of course we should give him this season and next at the very least. I just wanna us to take up the physicality... that how we win games here. And this doesn't mean we have to run the ball all the time, but it does mean we don't get pushed around on D and can run the ball with some success.
