It’s also nice to hear that our offense looks pretty good. Normally we get the “defense is good and our offense is going to be the challenge” in fall workouts. 6-6 would be a really good start for this regime, plus it will help bolster recruiting. New approach….be positive until you have a real reason to be upset, discouraged, or pissed off! Hail State

The backups started the scrimmage, actually. I know a guy who attended.

Jesus, this board has almost collectively tucked their dicks and balls back and given up...before the season has even started...

We'll find out soon enough.
This is what I?ve been thinking. State won?t be the same team at the end of the year as it was at the beginning. Even if the stats don?t show it. Our schedule starts off relatively easier than it ends. We will improve but I?m not sure the scoreboard will show it.

I wouldn't be that surprised if we pick up the offense quicker than expected. I've only seen the spring game (I know- but it's all I've got right now) but I thought we looked pretty good for a team with a new offensive install.

Agreed. That spring game, having seen many, is the primary source of most of the (admittedly small) hope I am experiencing right now for the upcoming season. Hitting a bunch of passes downfield for the first time in a few years was nice, too.
    WHY IS EVERYONE YELLING?!?

I have to believe that we will hit a few of those even against superior opponents. And we need to do that to be competitive and try to create some semblance of hype.
