STARKVILLE – Mississippi State redshirt sophomore outfielder Bryce Chance was named to the 2024 Academic All-District Baseball Team, College Sports Communicators announced Tuesday.

The recognition is bestowed on the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.

Since enrolling at Mississippi State, Chance has been named a Dean's Scholar twice and been named to the President's Scholar list once.

On the field, Chance has been a reliable bat in the Bulldog lineup. Chance has collected 62 hits, 36 RBIs, 36 runs and 11 doubles to grab a .286 batting average on the season. Of his 62 hits, 18 went for extra bases, including six homers.

In 217 at-bats, Chance has struck out 18 times this season to become the toughest batter to strike out in the SEC. In SEC games, Chance hit .333 during the season, the second-best mark on the team. He had six homers during the season, with four coming in SEC play.

During his time with Mississippi State, Chance has collected 95 hits, drove in 58 runs, and posted a .300 batting average.
