How do you manage our pitching?

    I see 3 options:

    1. Keep everything the same and just roll.
    -Purdue vs. St John's
    -Loo vs Virginia
    -Auger/Dohm/Pico to finish the job

    2. Work backwards to give yourself a better chance to close it out
    -Auger vs St. J
    -Khal vs UVA
-Loo vs UVA in winners bracket or elimination game

    3. Swap Purdue and Loo to have your best pitcher vs UVA while still taking STJ seriously
    -Loo vs St J
    -Khal vs UVA
    -Auger/Dohm/Pico

I lean towards option 2, but I understand why we'll probably choose option 1

Some years it's debatable. Not this year. Only interesting scenario is who to pitch Game 3 if we lose Game 2.

I don't think there's enough difference between the pitchers to vary it.

    Stephen vs. St. John's
    Loo vs. Virginia (hopefully)
    Auger against whoever is next
Kohn if we need a game 4
    ?? if we need a game 5

If beat St. John's and face Penn, still pitch Loo in game 2
If we lose to St. John's and face Virginia, still pitch Loo in game 2
If we lose to St. John's and face Penn, probably pitch Kohn or someone and save Auger and Loo for later.

Go with 1, 2 and then 3. We aren't good enough to over think. You play to win the game and it starts with the first one.

Yeah I’m all for keeping it the same- especially with the way Auger, Pico, and Dohm have been throwing

Games 1 and 2 are key in the 4 team regional so you have to pitch your best 2 to stay out of the loser's bracket. I think we should keep the rotation as is so Option 1 for me. If we were a #1 playing a #4 you might could consider changing something but not playing a #3.

Keep it the same. Auger did great the other day but that was an anomaly. If he screws the pooch the bullpen is torched.

Stephen and Loo have to pitch. If you win both, and you can't win one of 2 with Auger and Pico, you don't deserve to go on.

I would be tempted to go option 2, but I'd keep it the same. Starting pitching has been excellent so don't mess with it.

I don't think this team can afford to play around and overthink anything. Go with Stephen, Loo, and then Auger. If we need him for a game four go with Pico.

We have Tyler Davis, Hardin, Dohm, and Schuelke in the bullpen. And Gavin Black for maybe an inning.

    I like where we stand.

This all day long. Anything else is trying to prove to smart you think you are.

Does UVA throw off in their game, save their #1 for us?

Option 2. Loo and Kahl are the only two I trust not to grenade our bullpen in game 1.

Option 1,3. 2 is just asking for it. The whole key is win the first 2 games. Option 2 gives you a great shot to lose game 1. Then it's over.

Don't think we have the pen to work through a losers bracket so I'd play every game like its an elimination game. Through your best arm you have that day and take it 1 game at a time.

I would go Loo against St Johns and Stephen against Virginia. I doubt Virginia throws their 1 against a bad Penn team. We need Khal against Virginia.

You leave the rotation alone. Lose game one and you're done with our lacking pen. St John's already handled FL and has some good wins.
