DJ is guessing instead of relaxing and hit the zone. His power is in a small area of the strike zone, and all you have to do is work the outside and up in the zone. If you look at his SEC batting avg and HRs they are not off of SEC pitching. He’s proving that he’s not ready (in my opinion) to play pro ball. He’s no where near an elite hitter in this conference. He needs some time to mature as a hitter.

I don’t think anyone here thinks he’s ready for pro-ball. But he’s chasing dolla bills.

I think Hines swings at more 1st pitch sliders out of the zone than any hitter in baseball.
