I think Cjintge was getting a bit upset with Long Duc Dong today with his inability to throw the ball back within 3 feet of him. But I'm sure he has been throwing out runners in practice left and right all season Long III. No pun intended. After that bunt foul off his legacy jewels today, he was probably spitting up blood so I certainly feel bad for the guy. He just ain't SEC quality. Or Gulf South quality for that matter.

Long could hit .150 and commit 18 passed balls per game and most of this board would still start him. This board would take Long in a lineup over Charlie Condon because Long cusses a lot and tries to fight people and acts like a douche. That's far more important than actually being able to play apparently. Playing terribly is cool as long as you "drag your nuts on the field" (whatever that means)

Absolutely. And it also shows teams run less when Long is behind the dish.

What I think you guys are missing is that our ERA with pitchers is probably a run lower or more with Long behind the plate. That trumps going with the offensive catcher. I wish I could find that somewhere instead of having to go thru every boxscore and doing it myself. You can bet our staff knows those numbers

Need to hit the portal early for a top collegiate catcher. Highfill has missed his critical Sophomore season and if he can't play in the summer, thats a big loss. Let's gets someone's top catcher. The dream signing is Stanfords Malcom Moore, a Golden Spikes guy.
